Honestly, in all my years of living here, I have never been there for the ball drop. This year I thought it'd be fun to go down with a friend and see what all the hype was about. To be frank, there should be no hype. I'm really excited about what the new year has in store and I cannot wait to say hi in 2013! Tree at Rockefeller Center I took on our walk down. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Notable Nebraskan - Faye Cox Rogers. In 4th grade the kids study Nebraska History. Their final project is a speech where they choose a notable Nebraskan and give a presentation. Dakota chose her Great, Great, Great Aunt Faye (who Allison Faye is named after). We are so proud of her - she did an awesome job! There was a 100% chance of rain in North Platte last weekend, and only 80% in Kearney, so we went to the NE Game and Parks Expo and had a ton of fun in the rain and cold!
