It was not too crowded when I got there, but most of those who were there had coupon binders- (I just can not bring myself to carry a binder around with me, I have one at home to see an organize them, but I take a little accordion. My life, plain and simple! Thursday, January 29, 2009. This is Katie- She totally captured my heart before I even realized who she was. She would just talk, talk, talk to me like I totally understood what she was saying. She hugged me from the start and would do this sweet little kiss on the cheek when we would depart company. She is a total angel. LOVE THIS GIRL! Carlos-Maribel's 2nd boy-11. The whole time I was there I thought there was just a sadness in his eyes (wonder why). Isn't this picture fun!

My life, plain and simple! Thursday, December 25, 2008. A little while ago someone suggested that I go on a mission trip! Great idea Nesa) I reconnected with people from The Village who I had done the trips with and they were beginning planning and was hesitant at first, but quickly got on board. My life, plain and simple! Monday, January 17, 2011. My first year in Lewisville I my first two refugees. One from Burma and one from Nigeria. Now every since I have had a least one refugee from Burma. I do have a great connection with many in the Chin community at Lakeland. ( Chin is the people group from Burma that have settled in Lewisville.). The childish well is she can than why can't I? It is so exciting to see what God is doing in your life! My life, plain and simple! Saturday, August 16, 2008. Before She is Here. As I was sitting in church tonight I suddenly got overwhelmed with the fact that by this time next week my sweet little niece will be here. I will be able to hold and love on her. I will see her tiny little fingers and look at her toes. I can't wait to see her eyes and feel her soft skin. Will she have lots of hair? Will she be as big as her daddy was (over 10 pound) or be more petite like her sweet Aunt Laura at 9 pounds 14 oz?

(I think it is called fear of man, in face I am sure that it is) I have spent some painful time trying to dig through my issues (and boy do I have them) and am relying on the verses. Tuesday, February 11. In the midst of a culture filled with mixed up ideas of what love is and a place where seeking self- pleasure is encouraged, it's so important that we encourage ourselves in truth. What is love really? The kids and I have been reading 1 Corinthians during breakfast time. It's so cool how we stumbled upon this book and now this chapter right in the middle of valentines week. Not planned at all! My favorite part of homeschooling. Impromptu projects! Jonathan and Rebekah McGehee.
