The moon came up and the sun went down. The moonbeams went shattering down to the ground and the jackalope wives took off their skins and danced. Sunday, February 8th, 2015. Today I am going to the island. I climb the slick wood stairs down to Whitmuth beach. Speculative Fiction Author JA Ellis. Friday, January 30, 2015. Good Day to All. Last Friday of the month means another meeting of the Cephalopod Coffee House. This meetup is hosted by the Armchair Squid. And its purpose is to write about the best book we’ve read this month. This month I read The Martian. By Andy Weir. The first line of the novel should go down in history as one of the greatest lines in literary history:. 8220;I’m pretty much fucked”. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there.

Papers & Trees: February 2010
http://writewithvergilya.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. The Conscience of a Writer's Mind. Story ideas, plots and concepts for new articles bombard my entire being like an attack on enemy camp. I could literally see myself writing away even with my eyes closed as the epical words arrange themselves to form sentences and paragraphs like what I am writing now. This writing article came to my head even before I could sit down to write it. I don't know what other writers experience in their writing career but I know some writer blogs ...

Papers & Trees: On the 5th of July
http://writewithvergilya.blogspot.com/2010/07/on-5th-of-july.html
Wednesday, July 7, 2010. On the 5th of July. On March 22nd I was given the task to finish 12 - 22 minutes scripts for a children's educational animation series and the deadline was 25th of June. Although I completed all the scripts on the given deadline I wasn't satisfied with the last three and extended another 2 weeks to polish and fine tune what was missing. And on this day, on the 5th of July, I sent the last three scripts and completed my contract of twelve. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Http:...

Papers & Trees: May 2009
http://writewithvergilya.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Do you write the way you speak? And then there's this high flung writer who says 'I speak only to the right people'. The air about her was so thick I could use it for hair gel. Like a necromancer she managed to trap the air in the words she writes as well. You could literally see the gestures each and every word produces as though you were watching the Project Runway. So is it a good thing to write the way you speak? Links to this post. Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Links to this post.

Papers & Trees: August 2009
http://writewithvergilya.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 29, 2009. Review: Invasion of the Body Snatchers - Jack Finney. I love invasion stories and I love tales with back stories. This is one of them. One of the first few horrifying scenes is the discovery of the replica of the human body which the movies could not capture the raw essence of the terror like the book can. The description about the discovery and fear from finding something that peculiar body is much more spine-chilling. Although some readers claim that Body Snatchers is somewha...

Strange Stories, By Strange Authors, for Strange Listeners. New to the Drabblecast? Drabblecast 386 – Garen and The Hound. Garen and The Hound by. Monday, January 2nd, 2017. The veils of madness parted, and Garen the Undreaming found himself once again lucid. His body ached from ears to toes. He jogged, the sun on his left shoulder, and a bitter wind blew at his back that his heavy coats of fur could not fully abate. Where was he? How did he get here? DRABBLED - Home
Fall 2015 Drabbled Tournament. 8203;was a bust. 8203;As editor/director, the blame is on me. I think I overextended the form of Drabbled, requesting 2-part stories. Although I still contend that the concept is interesting and entertaining when accomplished, 2-part stories just don't suit the tournament. The philosophy of Drabbled is to draw stories out of everyone, not to discourage them from writing in the first place, which I fear the Double Drabble format did. 8203;You two are automatic winners! Now, ...
