http://moderndaymagi.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 28, 2006. The 25th chapter of Matthew has Jesus telling 2 parables, one about ten bridesmaids waiting for the groom, and the other about how effective different servants are as stewards of their master's money. Jesus then follows these two parables up with an example of the division of Sheep and Goats, illustrating how the Christians will be separated from the unbelievers in the comming judgment. In The Parable of the Ten Virgins. In this particular parable (in contrast to Matthew 24:42-44.

Modern Day Magi: March 2006
http://moderndaymagi.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 31, 2006. Verses 1 - 12. Of Matthew 14 give an account of the execution of John the Baptist as ordered by Herod. He was beheaded on request of Herod's niece/stepdaughter. Upon hearing this Jesus reacts in a fairly normal way, "he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place.". Jesus understandably wanted to be alone to deal with the grief of losing a cousin. However a crowd gathers where they heard Jesus was, and here is the amazing bit. This is not the time, get lost! He performed one of...

Ruminations and Ramifications: Distractions, distractions
http://ruminationsandramifications.blogspot.com/2010/10/distractions-distractions.html
Wednesday, October 06, 2010. Lord, grant me the heart of repentance and humility necessary to seek out the wisdom found in Your Word alone. May I never merely accept my own understanding of scripture without asking You first for your aid in understanding. And may I not be lazy about seeking out wisdom, halfheartedly as if it was not worth the immeasurable value your Word tells me that it is. Posted by Marcian @ 1:51 PM. Oh man I could not agree with you more heartily on this topic! High Plains Regional C...

Run Through the Streets. Run ye to and fro through the streets. and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man." Jeremiah 5:1 (KJV). Monday, August 10, 2009. Is Anything Really New. As I read the prophet Jeremiah, and the other prophets I see nothing new in today's world. ...

Run Through the Streets. Run ye to and fro through the streets. and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man." Jeremiah 5:1 (KJV). Monday, August 3, 2009. Is Anything Really New. What do we change? Are we to change the message of God's Word. God remains the same. His message remains the same. If we change it we become liars, and liars have no part with God, nor His kingdom. Hear the prophet -. At first the attempt was to call them to repentance to prevent their captiv...

Run Through the Streets: Whatever Happened To Shame?

Run Through the Streets. Run ye to and fro through the streets. and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man." Jeremiah 5:1 (KJV). Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Whatever Happened To Shame? Shame is a word that has almost fallen by the way. Who uses the word "shame" anymore? What does it mean? Jeremiah the prophet writes,. Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? Nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them t...

Run Through the Streets. Run ye to and fro through the streets. and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man." Jeremiah 5:1 (KJV). Saturday, June 5, 2010. Words That Cannot Profit. The business man; no certain one; no certain company; or even a preacher or pastor tells their people, "All is well. The business is growing". What is not mentioned is that decay, death, despair is all around. The words of Jeremiah the prophet speak loudly to us today. The life of knowing t...

Run Through the Streets: Unsocial Prophet

Run Through the Streets. Run ye to and fro through the streets. and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man." Jeremiah 5:1 (KJV). Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Rantings of a mad preacher? Maybe My reading today was from Jeremiah 11 – 24, and I guess I noticed some things that got a fire burning. Jeremiah is one of my favorite Prophets of the Old Testament to read, study, and I have rarely preached from the book. The people of Judah have refused to listen to the Word of ...
