Tuesday, May 17, 2011. In this assignment we focused on using minimal space in the background and highlighting the object of the picture in one of the thirds of the photo. This was a challenging assignment because we had many options for going about solving this assignment. Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Thursday, May 5, 2011. Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Thursday, April 28, 2011. The majority of these images represent television shows and movies that I watched when I was in my early childhood. One thing that is ha...

Wednesday, May 1, 2013. My personal favorite photo. Monday, March 11, 2013. Thursday, February 28, 2013. Thursday, February 21, 2013. The front of the school. Made black and white in order to embellish the darkness of the building to the sky. A side view of the school. A house on Sutter. Edited the color pattern in order to make the house stand out more. Picture of the street. Another shot of the street, but in color, with edited hue and saturation. Street shot darkened in order to convey depth. This wee...

Wednesday, January 11, 2017. For this series, I didn't necessarily want to explain my thought process behind every multi-frame because I felt the series would be less meaningful. In terms of visual recipe, I played around a lot with the manual focus and different kinds of light and shadows. I'd like to leave the theme of these photos open for interpretation, which is why there's only an artist statement for this series. Friday, December 9, 2016. Friday, December 2, 2016. Thursday, May 30, 2013. Sasha uses a lot of contrast in her photos. Most of her photos are black and white. Her photos are very elegant and she likes to use the rule of thirds. I had her look directly at the camera because her models did that and it made the photos look very real. Stefan usually does black and white photos with a lot of contrast. In his portraits, he photographs his models from the shoulders up and in the center of the picture. He uses a white background. I decided to include two picture...

Thursday, May 24, 2012. Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Me, Myself and I. Friday, April 27, 2012. Class Portraits and Interview with Grace. I made Zephy's portrait bright and clear, to portray all of the fun and exciting colors that she uses in some of her work. I made this portrait in black in white and added some highlights to brighten it. I chose to do this because I noticed that in her images she used a lot of shadows and gritty textures. For Grace's portrait I wanted to apply a few things that represent he...

Friday, December 9, 2016. Artists Statement: For this post I didn't use the preset filters that much but mostly created the edits and filters with my own color, lighting, and sharpness. I also used a little bit of color splash on one and was very heavy on shadows on others. Sunday, December 4, 2016. Final Portfolio (Best Images of the series). Friday, December 2, 2016. Sunday, November 20, 2016. Monday, November 14, 2016. I tried a few different things from crossing my feet to adding a darker color. ...

DREW PHOTO - LIAM. Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Friday, December 9, 2016. Semester 1 Final Project - Filters. For our final project for this semester we were instructed to take 8 images and experiment with filters and see what kinds of image we can make. I decided to use photoshop for my images because I knew that I could get really cool effects on the photos through it. I chose to make the photo black and white and only color in the flower. Doing this made for a very cool photo. Monday, December 5, 2016.

Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Ingrid tends to capture contrasting emotions in her style of photography. I felt like this photo really mimicked Ingrid's style of photography because it captures a more natural, candid side of Ingrid and a more serious side of her as well. Hadley tends to take a more natural attempt on her photos. I thought that this photo really conveyed the more natural and lighthearted side of Hadley. In Long Longs style of photography he tends to capture the more natural and effortless side of...

Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Assignment #28 (Final Spring Project). For this spring series, I combined both the images of nature and streets that I took for this series of. I made them cohesive through their brightness and shadows, connection/similarity of motion from one image to another, along with the shades and colors. Assignment #27 (Self Portrait). Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Throughout my two years in photography, I have learned a lot about taking and editing photos. I have had a great time these past few years. Here are some of my favorite photos from my years of photography. Monday, May 18, 2015. Thursday, May 7, 2015. For this series I tried to put faces together that were clearly very different as opposed to last weeks photos, which I tried to make more similar. Thursday, April 30, 2015.
