Sunday, August 24, 2014. I bought 25 pounds of Hatch Green Chiles last night. Hubby got up and started roasting them at 7:30 this morning while I slept in. Lucky me! I cleaned all of them and we froze them in snack sized baggies then put those in a gallon freezer bag. It should be enough for a year. We still have one big bag in the freezer that we bought last Christmas when we went to Clayton to visit family. This is what 25 pounds of cleaned chile looks like. It's about 2 gallons.
