Drifting Imagination
Sorry for the incoherence. The reason for this blog is to keep track of my ideas I have in the shower, since my dry erase board fell and all the markings were washed away in the tub. Drifting in 07
Los Angeles to the World. After a year of planning (and saving), we left on February 6, 2007 to backpack around the world. We bought one-way tickets to Hong Kong with no plans or itinerary of any kind. Our trip ended 216 days later in Mexico City. You can read all about adventures by clicking on any of the links under Past Journals. Since our trip finished, my writing can be found at: http:/ jackatrandom.com/. Vagabonds are not bums, as bums are not known for traveling. We could have booked round-the-wor...

Drifting in Asia
A Sudden End to Travelling. May 18, 2015. May 18, 2015. It was a sunny afternoon and I was blissfully taking in the lush balinese scenery from the back of the moped that Finn was driving. We were riding from Amed, a small diving and fishing town on the east coast of Bali, to Denpasar, the southern capital. The road was windy and hilly and our rental bike had seen better days. The breaks seemed to be wearing down from all the hills. The view from the road. On our way out of the hospital. We collected the ...

On the Outside Looking In
Pointless, but yet not. January 8th, 2006 (03:11 pm). Lemme know what you think. Also - updated my list AGAIN this morning. :]. BSB Audio / Video Files. October 9th, 2005 (03:44 pm). Although there aren’t a ton, and they’re not strict by any means, I felt the need to lay down some. 1 If there’s something you want, don’t be shy. I’m doing this because I want to not because. Coerced me into doing it. I like sharing files and I love making friends who are fans. *drops a hint*. And, a few general notes:.

Drifting In Cambodia
Day 85 : EPIC Angkor Wat. Day 85: Siem Reap. Yesterday, after we walked across the border from Thailand to Cambodia, we got on a bus to the ruins of Angkor Wat. The distance is around 110 miles. It took 7 hours. I guess it was sort of like driving from LA to San Diego. Anyway. We fishtailed in mud, nearly ran over a motorbike and plowed through water that was knee deep. All that to bring you this video. :). Day 89 : Angkor Wat Photos. Day 89 - Kampot. A few more photos can be seen here. Of the population...

Drifting in China
Day 3 : It Has Begun. Day 3: Hong Kong. So we're sitting in a little room on the fifth floor of the Ling Do building on Hong Kong Island. It looks a little like one of those trailer classrooms that elementary schools build when they run out of space (except for the Chinese banners, the shoes for sale and the girl singing kareoke at the top of her lungs). Well, the internet clock is winding down and Kari just asked me if I dare her to sing kareoke. I better get out of here fast. Day 4: Hong Kong. They're ...

At the bottom of the page, you can subscribe to this new India page, which means that you'll receive updates by email every time we post something new]. The journey from Kathmandu to Delhi takes only 120 minutes by air. Almost all travelers take this option, because the alternative involves a taxi, bus, rickshaw, jeep and train,. And then it happened. Day 132 : Welcome to Gatlinburg. Day 132 - Manali. This place looks just like Northern California. Away ...
