Tuesday, November 30, 2004. I keep seeing ads for a show called The Greatest Canadian or something to that effect, and it has the usual suspects, Sir John A. Macdonald (Canada's first PM), Terry Fox, Alexander Graham Bell, and. I think it's fantastic that Lester Pearson, Pierre Trudeau and David Suzuki and Tommy Douglas are all on the top 10 list too- but then we have 2 that stick out like a sore thumb. Friday, April 29, 2005. Confessions of a hero. We saved the Hospital! Yesterday I was sitting in the Atrium at the Toronto General Hospital with my beady-eyed friend. The Atrium is a huge glass room on the fourth floor of the TGH over looking Gerard and University. I turned around to see the light fixture on the wall burst into flames. Tuesday, August 31, 2004. I love Carolyn Parrish. I think she’s the ultimate illustration of a successful democracy. I mean think of it- she’s a loud mouth, blow hard whack job with crazy ideas that alienate others, don’t find a useful solution and she criticizes with out being constructive. She gets defensive and loses it when others question it and refuses to apologize when she’s in the wrong. How many people are like that in Canada? And now they have representation in Canada. OK- i got home from work and it's a gorgeous day out- there's clouds moving in from the East, but it's still clear in the west, so the sun is shining and it's nice and warm (24 C). So- I put on my little yoga shorts and head to the patio and start doing yoga. My hands slip out from under me like I they were on banana peels and boom! Right down on the crown of my head! Thursday, June 30, 2005. What ever you do- Don't join Goodlife Fitness! My gym is filthy, it is always in disarray- no one is hired to put the weights back, and they just. The members to do it because they put signs up asking it- meanwhile, it takes people 5 minutes to find specific dumbbells because they are often tucked away at different corners of the gym. This is no way to run a gym. This is no way to run anything! There are chalk marks everywhere- no one ever cleans it up! Tuesday, June 28, 2005.
