August 15, 2014 - Suellen slogs along. 15 August 2014 @ 08:15 am. August 15, 2014. Missions Accomplished: Aquafit and swim, and after 2 trips 2/3rds of the bank things I hoped to do today. Workout (what, where, with who, what was the weather, thoughts about it, etc.): 1 hour Aquafit with Glenda in the outdoor pool at PAC.and my core feels it. It was 65 and sunny. Then we went in and swam in the indoor pool for 19 minutes/500 yds. It was hard, but good.

Missions Accomplished: Two boxes of items relisted as I try to re-start my etsy site, made it to JoAnn's and got most of what I was after, ordered tickets for a baseball game with Josh and Maeve and discussed flights for Disney cruise. Started the layout of URI class, sent in URI contracts, worked on cataloging syllabus and schedule, finished most of Mel's laundry. PS, what a difference it makes to update your playlist!

Weather: 70 degrees, 93% humidity, 1 mph winds (75-88 heat index) The temp, humidity and wind was when we started.the heat index was from the beginning to the end of the run. Comments: I bonked. I walked more than I have in 2 years.and 16:40s? WTF was that about?

A good pace (14:29 including LONG warm-up and cool down). As hard as this is I think it is starting to work. Moods, Thoughts, Feeling: Started off the day slow, sluggish and a little cranky.but it got better. Tomorrow: Mel's Radiology follow-up, and LOTS of work. Also try to mail Mel's package. Maybe a workout, but maybe not.

With: Panther, Suellen, Darla. Distance: 41.5 miles. Time: 2:18-ish (18 mph). Thoughts: HOT HOT HOT. Rode around Lockhart, and I felt OK until the last 5 miles. Thoughts: I was too sore to do the full "circuit breaker" workout, so I just did 400 repeats at 10K pace. Well that was the goal, but I was totally out of gas. And it was 1000% humidity. Distance: 7.75 miles. Thoughts: Took Weds off, because I'm biking on Friday (normally my off day). We ran to Yellowjacket and then did Yasso 800's. Despite the heat/humidity, I was able to nail four Yasso's at 3:20 or better per 800. It helped a ton to run with Nick and Steven. And I think the day off yesterday was a big help too.
