movingdogward: August 2011
http://movingdogward.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 26, 2011. You better be good to me. So far, this has been a pretty fun week. On Wed. nights, I usually run with a group from Sports Basement. It's a fun diverse group of runners and while I really enjoy running alone, it's nice to have some company from time to time. After this week's run, there was a Fit Fest, which had about a dozen vendors and snacks and raffles. Raffles are always fun! I did win a raffle, it was a gift bag with a rather interesting array of items, including:. Last nigh...

Monday, June 27, 2011. I keep up with the racing rats. Welcome to my new training plan: run almost not at all and race my way into semi-shape. I'll let you know how that works out for me. Anyway, here's an update:. Last week at the races, I thought I was 4th. I was actually 3rd. I know moving to SF I've coming to a much smaller pond of runners. I've never placed so high so often in races. Links to this post. Friday, June 17, 2011. It's all business in the left hand lane. Update from last week's race:.

A blog by an avid San Francisco runner. Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Race 08-08 DSE Golden Gate Vista 10k. February 10, 2008. 10k - 1st/89 - 39:41. After the race there were grapes and oranges which were good. We don't usually have those at DSE races but they seemed to be popular. I also enjoyed a ton of Starburst-like candies that were there. They weren't as popular because there were plenty left over as they were picking everything up so I grabbed a bunch for a hike down to the beach after. When the r...

A blog by an avid San Francisco runner. Saturday, December 31, 2011. Race 11-130 New Years Day 24/12 Hour run. 45623mi. - 11:54:08 - 23rd/57. It was a clear night so we had watched the full moon rise all evening and after the race we could see the fireworks by looking over Fort Mason. I rested a little in a tent that I thought belonged to Noe Castanon who was working at the aid station. Then I went home with no intention of waking up in time for the morning DSE 5k at the same course location. Favorite Ne...

This year I ran the race without taking the day off by running it during lunch since I work only a few miles north in Burlingame. Posted by Jason R. Sunday, February 20, 2011. February 20th, 2011.

Two a Healthy Life Challenge. Two a Healthy Life. One couple on a mission to become healthy. Author Archives: Nathaniel Chaney. February 28, 2013. Book Review: The Power of Habits. One of the main concepts of the book is what Duhigg refers to as a habit loop. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in changing their bad habits or creating better ones. What I really took away from it was the hope that change is possible. I remember being overweight (after another failed diet) and thinkin...The l...
