The Dublin Bike Blog. Newer posts →. September 18, 2008 · 4:21 pm. Le chic, c’est freak. Further to the continuing discussion taking place on this here blog about what (or what not to) wear while cycling, I feel compelled to write about a specific aspect of this general debate which, it seems, has become rather preeminent of late – the general idea of “cycle chic”. 8220;Cycle chic” has become a phenomenon to the extent that it now has its own Wikipedia entry. And a Californian version, RidingPretty.

The Dublin Bike Blog. Non au Vélib-vandalisme →. January 15, 2009 · 6:05 pm. Troubled bridge over water. One would like to say that the death of a cyclist. On the south-side of Harold’s Cross Bridge yesterday morning is a wake-up call for the drivers, cyclists and other road users in Dublin city, but it’s difficult to say this is the case. Is the answer to limit the number of lanes approaching the bridge, or to widen the historic bridge? I’m not sure, but I know that the next time I cross the bridg...

Wallace Town: Adrian Chiles - Part 1
http://markwallace32.blogspot.com/2010/07/adrian-chiles-part-1.html
Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Adrian Chiles - Part 1. For those of you who don't know Adrian Chiles - he's the man who has carved a BBC career out of being the chubby Brummie next door. A man so devoid of charisma that he made Gareth Southgate look edgy during the 2010 ITV World Cup coverage. Chiles is soon to be the face of GMTV having made a multi-million pound move to ITV so that he can ingratiate himself amongst an even larger section of the brain dead British pubic who frankly deserve him. Woo Woo Ha Ha!
Wallace Town: bACKBONE

Monday, June 28, 2010. Yesterdays match against Germany was the collective equivalent of Terry's impotent toy throwing. We couldn't front up and were beaten within minutes and as the self-belief and resolve crumbled away it revealed some of the most pampered and well paid men in world football - playing like a half-cut Sunday league team. Posted by Mark W at 1:43 pm. More on Adrian Chiles, please! Im finding his Chilesy feels your pain schtick difficult to take. Monday, June 28, 2010. Links to this post:.
Wallace Town: Which Corrs For Ireland?
http://markwallace32.blogspot.com/2010/11/which-corrs-for-ireland.html
Thursday, November 25, 2010. Which Corrs For Ireland? Probably not the most appropriate time for punning, such is the situation that Ireland faces, but clearly Ireland is at a crossroads now and it has to be hoped that the course taken isn't one that sees generations of people paying for the Irish elites mistakes and greed. Shame, I thought Jim had something of the Dev about him, there's still a chance Ronan Keating may make a bid for the greasy pole. Posted by Mark W at 4:06 pm. Links to this post:.

Wallace Town: Sleepless - 5
http://markwallace32.blogspot.com/2006/08/sleepless-5.html
Wednesday, August 16, 2006. Extracts from The Diary of Dr X:. How long have I been awake? I don t mean sleepless. This is no longer an experiment? It failed the moment I began it. I could never hope to prevent the aging of this body. Look at its slack skinned nakedness. My mind is wondering more and more. I remember feelings now and they leave me again. When did I forget to feel? Middle age under anaesthesia? Surely that is enough? When did I feel? To the cursor, to the field, to the mountains or the sea?
Wallace Town: Captain Beefheart
http://markwallace32.blogspot.com/2010/12/captain-beefheart.html
Saturday, December 18, 2010. The track that got me hooked on Beefheart, who died yesterday. Seemingly Beefheart's vocal performance on this track destroyed a $1200 Telefunken microphone. Hank Cicalo, engineer for the sessions, reported that Beefheart's voice wouldn't track at certain points and athough a number of microphones were used, none of them could stand the "EEEE-Lec-Triccc-ittt-EEEEEEEE" of the last chorus. http://markwallace32.blogspot.com/2009/12/21st-century-wallace.html
Tuesday, December 29, 2009. We're almost 10 years into the 21st Century and the snapshot from the Yahoo search engine says it all. We have at our fingertips a form of technology far more powerful than food rehydration, something that could potentially transform our lives, yet most of us are content with reading about celebrities and train times (? Perhaps worse of all, still watching drivel from the late 1980's. Posted by Mark W at 9:59 am. Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Links to this post:. Woo Woo Ha Ha!

Friday, June 30, 2006. Sleepless 3- 224hrs and 16mins. I can’t keep up with them, they’re all so aroused. Honey is flowing from their innards. You understand don’t you? Who has hold of the ball now that I can’t hold it anymore? He was staring straight at the screen. The live web feed, recording him as the hallucination faded; his pixelated face gazing blankly into space. The German Navy had used it to find warships. Was he trying to find something? Time seems too classically human a concept for it to rea...
Wallace Town: Sleepless - 212 hrs and 16 minutes

Thursday, June 22, 2006. Sleepless - 212 hrs and 16 minutes. Anything could happen, he had promised them. Rats totally deprived of sleep die between 17 and 20 days: their hair starts falling out, and they become hypermetabolic, burning calories whilst motionless. He rubbed the loose skin surrounding his stomach. The dermis and hypodermis were taking a beating. Proteins were being reabsorbed and his skin was beginning to sag around his waistband like sap around a rubber tree. The Faculty of Medicine has m...
