Our So Called Blob: April 2013
http://shanksi.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Our So Called Blob. Tuesday, 2 April 2013. Would be a reasonably fair description of my long run on Sunday but that's not really what this post is about. I noticed that during the D33, a woman in front of me put an empty gel wrapper on a bench where someone had already left a similar item. What is that all about? Are the local residents or other users of the path expected to be happy to tidy up your litter because you placed it on a bench rather than just drop it? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Our So Called Blob: June 2012
http://shanksi.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Our So Called Blob. Saturday, 30 June 2012. WHW Race - a supporters tale. Note: in the time it's taken me to write this, both Vikki. Have written blogs, so there won't be many surprises in here. This is my personal account. After all, it's all about me, isn't it? Vikki and Dave at the start. MTFU about that knee, shanksi. It was great to see Vikki again and she seemed happy and full of beans - ready for the long trek ahead, although not before a change of clothes and a Pot Noodle. A bit of a grump. Every...

Our So Called Blob: June 2013
http://shanksi.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Our So Called Blob. Sunday, 30 June 2013. There Will Be Blood. Well, that was quite a weekend. It seems like there are a lot of wee stories to tell:. The solo drive to Tyndrum with Nirvana and Spacemen 3 blaring on the stereo;. Meeting up with mrs s (briefly) and Julia and Christina before setting off towards Auchtertyre in the wonderful left hand drive camper van with no power steering;. The joy of seeing Ian heading up the trail looking really strong;. The prescient words of Alan No Mates;. S 25km spon...

Our So Called Blob: January 2013
http://shanksi.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Our So Called Blob. Wednesday, 2 January 2013. It's been a wonderfully chaotic and fun-filled end to 2012 and start to 2013 with much drinking, eating, and general socialising. Oh, and a bit of this sort of thing. More fantastic pictures from the fireballs. In any case it seems like a good time to very briefly look back over another year of running and forward to what's coming up, much of which is looking similar to last year. As in 2012, the first big race of 2013 should be the D33. July and August are ...

Our So Called Blob: Pressendye Hill Race - Welcome to the Pleasuredome
http://shanksi.blogspot.com/2014/05/pressendye-hill-race-welcome-to.html
Our So Called Blob. Saturday, 31 May 2014. Pressendye Hill Race - Welcome to the Pleasuredome. So a brand new race, included as part of the Cosmics Summer Series due to the cancellation of the Durris Mast race. Unfortunately a bit further to travel than Durris which meant that only myself and Gary were there from Stonehaven. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our So Called Followers. Our So Called Blob: May 2012
http://shanksi.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Our So Called Blob. Tuesday, 1 May 2012. You're Better Than You Think You Are". It was already pretty late by the time we got to the pub, and although it was good to have a wee blether with Wee Rhino and Jo and dave m and Al and Tommy as well as many of the aforementioned people, I was shattered and needed to get to bed after just a couple of beers. We are all better than we think we are! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our So Called Followers. Our So Called Profiles. Offwhite: a photoblog by Dave Morrow.

Our So Called Blob: May 2013
http://shanksi.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Our So Called Blob. Thursday, 30 May 2013. Yuck, ouch, and ouch. The Cateran Trail Ultra is a pretty tough race, not just for the runners but also for their kit. And sadly, it was as much as my trail shoes could bear. To be honest, they were practically falling to bits before the race so the decision was taken to send them to the bin. Wednesday, 22 May 2013. I'd have done anything for a pint of orange juice. Stage 1 - Spittal of Glenshee to Dalnagair Castle. And they're off. Photo: Muriel Downie. The gir...
