Here's a thought...

Thursday, November 15, 2007. Three years ago, I was part of a team that went to Mongolia to see the work of World Vision and the programs that our church was helping sponsor. Many of you helped with my expenses and from the left-over funds we purchased a "Ger" (a traditional dwelling) for a needy Mongolian family through World Vision's "gift-a-ger" program. I pray you and your family are well, and that you will focus on those things for which you can be thankful in the days that lead us to Thanksgiving.

Here's a thought...: July 2007

Monday, July 2, 2007. The Long, Slow Burn.out. Ministry is hard to balance. With abandon, we go "all in" for Jesus. We work and give and sweat and sacrifice until we find ourselves at the end of a rope that is frayed and worn. Burnout is tough in any career or vocation, but when we "work" for God, we subconsciously assume we will be shielded from the. Effects of too much outflow for too little infill. Monday, June 25, 2007. I have been asking myself a question recently, "In what do people trust? For some, this isn't an easy question understand, for others it is difficult to process. I am interested, though, in your responses. Other ways of asking this might be:. What is most valuable to you? What do you value? Ultimately, I am attempting to ask the same question, just approaching it from different angles. Thank you in advance for your responses. Labels: faith value Jesus. Monday, June 18, 2007. Three ...

http://snoqualmiemom.blogspot.com/2008/07/80s-karaoke-night.html

Our Life in the Northwest. Life, Love, and an alley full of boys! Sunday, July 20, 2008. You should have seen us scrambling to find the proper attire for our church choir 80's Karaoke night. We went to the costume shop for accessories and none of the workers had ever heard of Debbie Gibson! Wowwe are getting old. Doesn't Patrick make quite the punk rocker? Matthew even got into the act with boas and sequined gowns. What a sight to see this early in the morning! July 21, 2008 at 3:45 AM. It looks like fun!

Patrick's parents celebrated their 5oth wedding anniversary on August 9th with family and friends at Maranatha Baptist Church. It was great to see so much of the family gathered together and watch the picture video that Patrick put together for them. Doug presented them with a lovely plaque, and they exchanged gifts in front everyone. It was a special time.

Grand Rapids has a Skyline! 09 July, 2010. After a year of paying Apple to host my blog, I am back to the realm of free posting. Cash wasted, lesson learned. My return to the blogspot comes on the heels of our return from vacation. We left the computers at home and spent the week on Mackinac Island and in Traverse City. I have to say I didn't miss the constant connection to the world. I was able to relax and enjoy my family. 30 April, 2009. The blog has moved to our new family website. 24 April, 2009.

The Corn Bros. needed everything from the ground up. I partnered with them to invent the brand name and develop their brand DNA. They also have an ongoing need for specific logos for each unique model. All in all, a fun project for me as they love a retro surf vibe. And I'll drop in on that every chance I get. Gotta have more Corn Bros? Slide a little lower. 5 times harder, 5 times slicker, 5 times thicker. Makes setting up your court a breeze. Retro logo for holiday home brew. Home brew, limited edition.
