Friday, August 26, 2011. You better be good to me. So far, this has been a pretty fun week. On Wed. nights, I usually run with a group from Sports Basement. It's a fun diverse group of runners and while I really enjoy running alone, it's nice to have some company from time to time. After this week's run, there was a Fit Fest, which had about a dozen vendors and snacks and raffles. Raffles are always fun! I did win a raffle, it was a gift bag with a rather interesting array of items, including:. Last nigh...

http://movingdogward.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 18, 2011. This week was a very sold training week, I was tired from our trip to AZ, but things went well:. Tues 6.4 miles with 5x1k. Wed: 3.6 easy. Sat 3 easy, 4 mile race. I went into the week tired and was pretty much running tired all week, but ran everything as planned. According to the race website:" The 4 mile course is relatively flat and fast within Mitchell Canyon" The key word there is RELATIVELY. Here's the profile for the 4 miler. For the start, I wanted to be up front since...

Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl: The land of hope...

Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. The land of hope. There is a section of my closet where clothes go to hide from the charity bags. I like to call it the "land of hope". Because we move quite often, I am no longer the pack rat of my early years. Rather, at every given opportunity I gladly go through our belongings and give away things we just don't need. I have 5 categories in my wardrobe that I mentally run through when it comes time to purge. They are. Clothes I actually wear. Jotte...

Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl: Adaptation...
http://caffienatedcowgirlnotes.blogspot.com/2007/05/adaptation.html
Notes from a Caffienated Cowgirl. Life off the ranch. How is it that we may move from place to place, yet our bodies seem set on staying in their original climate? If you can never fully adapt to the weather, then can you ever fully adapt to the place? Does my lack of stripping down to a t-shirt and shorts when the weather hits 65 degrees Fahrenheit make it obvious that I'm not a native? Jotted down by Caffienated Cowgirl. Stashed away in: ramblings. I totally hear you about the crazy weather! Memior by ...

http://movingdogward.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 27, 2011. I keep up with the racing rats. Welcome to my new training plan: run almost not at all and race my way into semi-shape. I'll let you know how that works out for me. Anyway, here's an update:. Last week at the races, I thought I was 4th. I was actually 3rd. I know moving to SF I've coming to a much smaller pond of runners. I've never placed so high so often in races. Links to this post. Friday, June 17, 2011. It's all business in the left hand lane. Update from last week's race:.

Monday, April 9, 2012. I'm swimming, I'm flying, I'm dying. Welcome to another installment of Audra Learns the Trails of the Bay Area by Running Trail Races. On this week's adventure, we take on the Berkeley Hills by running the Grizzly Peak Trail Half. Your distance may vary, it was actually 12.8 miles which proved to me more than enough. Let's start with the course profile shall we? Now back to our regularly scheduled misery:. I don't trip and no one else comes around me. Loren is at the finish with Ba...

Jun 13, 2010. Here’s the thing of it. I pinned a number on and raced last weekend. and then i did it again this weekend. I still do that occasionally. pin a number on and race my bike. ‘race’, as always, being a strong word, cause sometimes i like to think of it as just riding my bike around in circles in which i happen to be with other people. And bribe the kids with donuts. Plus, all that racing requires a lot of training, hard work and dedication. 8221;] dismay - for junk pickup. which, as. 8220;hey ...
