Eat Play. Shop. Eating, playing, shopping and travelling our merry way through Melbourne and beyond, family style. About Eat.Play.Shop. I love photography, and if you follow me on instagram you'll see that I love pictures of food, clouds, and quirky things in general that I come across in my everyday life. With the rapid advances in phone camera technology I only need to do ...

Eat. Play. Shop.: Batch #4+5 - Raspberry White Chocolate Ganache & Lemon Butter Cream
http://eatplayshopmelbourne.blogspot.com/2011/04/batch-45-raspberry-white-chocolate.html
Eat Play. Shop. Eating, playing, shopping and travelling our merry way through Melbourne and beyond, family style. About Eat.Play.Shop. Monday, April 25, 2011. Batch #4 5 - Raspberry White Chocolate Ganache and Lemon Butter Cream. When I made Batch Number 4, I thought they were the best tasting batch yet, although they didn't look as nice. So I made the same flavours again, and I was happier with the way Batch Number 5 turned out. Batch 4 on the left, Batch 5 on the right. The shells were a bit flat.
Eat. Play. Shop.: Batch #3 - Lemon Curd Marscapone & Lemon Butter Cream
http://eatplayshopmelbourne.blogspot.com/2011/04/batch-3-lemon-curd-marscapone-lemon.html
Eat Play. Shop. Eating, playing, shopping and travelling our merry way through Melbourne and beyond, family style. About Eat.Play.Shop. Sunday, April 24, 2011. Batch #3 - Lemon Curd Marscapone and Lemon Butter Cream. With Batch #3 I decided to try a totally different flavour by using lemons. I used a bit more coloring in the macronage this time, but the shells were still not as intensely yellow colored as I would have liked. Nonetheless, I thought the pastel yellow didn't look. Quirky. Funny. Gee...Quirk...

Eat Play. Shop. Eating, playing, shopping and travelling our merry way through Melbourne and beyond, family style. About Eat.Play.Shop. Sunday, December 25, 2011. Cook @ Home - Portugese Egg Tarts. Just realised that Eat.Play.Shop. quietly turned one earlier on in December! Their tastes in food have also become quite broad and varied. It's pretty cool to watch them try to make and eat different foods, and learn to appreciate their discoveries! The other day and it got me thinking about how. And it makes ...

Macarons
http://www.syrupandtang.com/macarons
Duncan Markham is a Melbourne writer and editor. He thinks far too much about food and needs at least six meals a day in order to feel whole. More. April 28 2010 marked the debut of my own macarons in a shop display case, but problems meant that production had to be suspended. In July 2010 I started making macarons again, this time for Liaison Café in Melbourne, and after a fantastic macaron season, I flopped exhaustedly into my sofa at the end of 2010. There's a dedicated page. La Macaronicité 3: the mo...

Sporks are awesome. So is food. Http:/ www.offthespork.com. August 7, 2016. Leftover mashed potato cakes. It’s my 9th blog birthday (9! And unfortunately this year I haven’t been organised enough to bake a cake. Instead, I’m pulling something semi cake related out of my drafts – I’m ashamed to tell you how long this post has been lingering in there, so let’s just move on! June 7, 2016. Side note: here I’m going to drop a link to my post about our visit to Fat Duck in Bray. Yes, we had lunch at dinner).

Sporks are awesome. So is food. July 25, 2015. Alastair and I had an impromptu date night one Thursday a while ago. I ended up working late and Alastair offered to come out and pick me up so I wouldn’t need to PT home in the dark and the rain – awwww. On the way home we stopped on Inkerman St for a quick dinner. There’s a few options on that strip, and we decided on Machi, a Japanese restaurant. July 11, 2014. November 13, 2013. September 25, 2012. September 26, 2007. Last year, Alastair got the opportun...
Cecconi’s – Off the spork
http://www.offthespork.com/2015/06/cecconis
Sporks are awesome. So is food. June 19, 2015. Disclosure: I attended and dined courtesy of Cecconi and AMPR. I suppose we’re officially in winter now, aren’t we? Well, let’s pretend that we’re still in autumn (I’d like to pretend that we’re not in winter anyway) as the other month I was invited to Cecconi’s for an autumn menu tasting. They must be doing something right to have been around the Melbourne dining scene for so long and I was excited to finally pay them a visit. We started with a drink and th...

Sporks are awesome. So is food. June 8, 2015. My friend Em and I have been lunching together for many years – back to 2007. According to the blog – and possibly even earlier. Over the years our friendship has seen several job changes, a wedding (mine), two babies (hers), and many many lunches, and we are still going strong. December 9, 2011. Vue de Monde: express lunch. And I cleverly scheduled a day off work, while I-Hua. June 25, 2009. Gills Diner: Ladies who lunch. It’s been a long time between Ladies...

http://www.offthespork.com/category/eating-out/fine-dining
Sporks are awesome. So is food. June 7, 2016. As I’m sure you’re all aware – because wow was there a lot of (justified) fanfare and excitement – last year the Fat Duck was in Melbourne for several months while its premises in Bray were being renovated. Side note: here I’m going to drop a link to my post about our visit to Fat Duck in Bray. 8211; look at those terrible photos though! Alastair and I had lunch there at the beginning of the year with the regular. Yes, we had lunch at dinner). Rice & Fle...

[Tasting] Dinner at Espuma – wonderland for food
https://wonderlandforfood.wordpress.com/2014/07/26/tasting-dinner-at-espuma
Food…and other things! Tasting] Dinner at Espuma. July 26, 2014. April 17, 2016. To invite for this tasting together with some other foodies! I have seen some waffle pictures of Espuma on Instagram and Facebook. The trend of waffle went crazy in Hong Kong that there are just too many cafes, restaurant offers it. But to be honest, not all of them are really that great! You just simply have to try them until you find the prefect one. The timing was so perfect that it was Friday night for this tasting!

Eat,Play,Shop! | Just another WordPress.com weblog
Just another WordPress.com weblog. December 7, 2009. 8211; Here in Paris they are very commited to the idea that even commoners can enjoy the opera and ballet. The 3 of us had a fabulous night at the ballet, where we got to enjoy box seats in the beautiful Opera Garnier. (Birthplace of the Phantom.) What a grand venue! Photo Opp on the Grand Staircase. It must be half a mile deep. And it was filled with dancers. Very cool! I need to learn the language! Speaking of the princess life, we also got out to se...
Eat Play Shop Love
Thursday, 28 August 2014. Zoeva Classic Brush Set. It wasn't long ago that I wrote about my favourite Real Techniques brushes. And while I still love them, my sister bought me this gorgeous set of brushes from Zoeva. For my birthday and I have to say it was love at first use. The Zoeva Classic Brush Set contains 8 brushes for your face and eyes and comes in this rather sophisticated leather look clutch bag. It even has it's own dust bag that's how posh it is! What do you think? Wednesday, 27 August 2014.
