diary of Faithy, the baker: TBB: Molasses Crumb Cakelets
http://theamateurbaker.blogspot.com/2015/07/tbb-molasses-crumb-cakelets.html
Diary of Faithy, the baker. Monday, July 13, 2015. TBB: Molasses Crumb Cakelets. At:Monday, July 13, 2015. These cakelets are so easy to put together. No eggs or butter. Totally vegan. Lots of molasses. I couldn't find Grandma brand molasses (use to have here but now everywhere is just Rabbit brand molasses) so just make do with whatever that is selling here. I think i scooped to much and instead of it being flat, it formed a dome . Did I ever mention that I love eggs and butter? These cakelets look so a...

Greenstein's Bakery: Greenstein's Bakery - Baking Bible - Orange Cream Tart
http://greensteinsbakery.blogspot.com/2015/06/greensteins-bakery-baking-bible-orange.html
Monday, June 1, 2015. Greenstein's Bakery - Baking Bible - Orange Cream Tart. This was such a fantastic recipe. Thick, tart consistency thick, orange/lemon curd in a delicious tart crust. Omi Girl Helped me with the lemons. Getting a hand of this crust thing little by little. Making the curd. I cut down on the lemon juice because I did not want the lemon flavor to over-power the orange. I forgot all about the flame-thrower part. Truly a fabulous dessert! June 2, 2015 at 12:25 AM. Sunday, February 22, 2015. Genoise with Lemon Posset - Greenstein's Bakery - BB. Genoise is always lovely and the Posset was nice, new and interesting. Perhaps I would have preferred the posset it a tad sweeter. Mis en place. Why, yes, those are Meyer lemons! Not sure what 'apple jelly' is. This is what I found. Other than this there was only apple butter. The smallest piece of paper towel is good enough to hold all the butter solids from the beurre noisette. Links to this post. Sunday, February 15, 2015.

Greenstein's Bakery: December 2014
http://greensteinsbakery.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 28, 2014. Greenstein's Bakery - BB - Frozen Pecan Tart. Fresh quality ingredients and following instructions make this a really stellar dessert. Lulu was with me for moral support. Mixing the pate sucree. I kneaded this using a plastic surgical glove. Rolled between parchments. Clear wrap is so fussy. I think I did this right. Seemed to work. Folded inward before the first toast. I could only find an 11 inch pan so I upped the ingredients about 20%. I weighed all my ingredients. Argh!

She Bakes the Cake: The Red Velvet Rose (or whatever Bundt pan you have to hand)
http://shebakesthecake.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-red-velvet-rose-or-whatever-bundt.html
She Bakes the Cake. Rose's Heavenly Cakes to be precise. Wednesday, 24 June 2015. The Red Velvet Rose (or whatever Bundt pan you have to hand). A single token photo. Up until now, I thought that if I searched long enough I could find at least one single article on the internet to corroborate any hair brained thought I might have. Apparently the internet is not aligned to my hair brained thoughts. Happy to say that even if you are Pam free, the heritage bundt. I went for the higher proportion of cocoa pow...

Channeling Green Acres' Lisa Douglas one pancake at a time. Fit Girl’s Guide. Rose’s Bread Bible. Rose’s Melting Pot. March 4, 2015. March 4, 2015. I have very definite ideas about how focaccia should look and taste. I’ve grown up on this bread. It’s hard-coded into my memory banks, coloring with fragrant deliciousnesses my memories of visiting Golden Boys Pizza in San Francisco. Order with a San Pellegrino and you have yourself Paradise. So I dutifully made my list and set off with my poor husband in tow.

Rose's Alpha Bakers: Catch-Up Week: "A Marvelous Way to Celebrate the Strawberry"
http://rosesalphabakers.blogspot.com/2015/08/catch-up-week-marvelous-way-to.html
Thursday, August 13, 2015. Catch-Up Week: "A Marvelous Way to Celebrate the Strawberry". Photo by Jen Knowles. Evil Cake Lady Blog. Not too many people felt the need to catch up this week, so unless there's a wellspring of demand for more catch-up weeks, I'll probably skip them. However, Jen's catch-up week was enough for three: she made the Strawberry Shortcake Genoise. AND the 100% Whole Wheat Walnut Bread. And yet, with all the bad press sugar has been getting, we should probably be more worried about...

Rose's Alpha Bakers: November 2014
http://rosesalphabakers.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. December 1, 2014. How can I make you understand the incredible deliciousness that is the Kouign Amann? Let me try by giving you the reaction of my co-workers when I brought some to work. "Oh, look, Marie stopped at that fancy patisserie in her neighborhood and brought us some treats." "No, you did not make these. I don't believe it." Because they kind of do look pretty professional, don't they? Mise en Place: Note the expensive French butter. It's not necessary to have Fren...
