Live from Flytown: December 2008
http://jlsmither.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2008. I know I'm a little late to this party. But everyone go check out Fleet Foxes. I heard them recently for the first time and can't get enough. I haven't been this excited about a band since I "discovered" the Minus 5. It's, like, poetry, man! I was following the pack. All swallowed in their coats. With scarves of red tied ’round their throats. To keep their little heads. From fallin’ in the snow. And I turned ’round and there you go. And, Michael, you would fall. Ok, so it's no...

My Laundry is Piling Up: Book Reviews by a Mother. Where laundry is counted, pages adored, and alone time is precious little! Tuesday, October 23, 2012. I find it interesting to think that I am 'turning over a new leaf' on a day that is snowy. But after a long chat last night, that has been on-again off-again, with my hubs about him preparing himself for a job-change, I decided it has to start with me. He's going to go to school. This isn't going back to school. Pics by Brianna Farr Taylor. And I have a ...

My Laundry is Piling Up: Book Reviews by a Mother: November 2009
http://mommabookworm.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
My Laundry is Piling Up: Book Reviews by a Mother. Where laundry is counted, pages adored, and alone time is precious little! Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Eragon - by Christopher Paolini. I read this book almost a year ago. It was so good I read it again, out loud, to my oldest daughter. She loved every page. Paolini is a brilliantly imaginative author of this fantasy series about dragons, family, war, warriors, maidens, elves, dwarves, and several other fantastical characters. I know. Stephanie Meyer-the ...

My Laundry is Piling Up: Book Reviews by a Mother. Where laundry is counted, pages adored, and alone time is precious little! Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Sidney Sheldon's After The Darkness by Tilly Bagshawe. Okay as a precursor to this review I'll tell you right off, this is my FIRST Sidney Sheldon book. and also my first Tilly Bagshawe. This is generally not my genre of choice, but I was dying to read something that I could read and not have to think. Were amazing and made me want to visit a lot more!

The Fox Den: Reading List
http://insideourfoxden.blogspot.com/2008/09/current-read.html
The Art of Racing in the Rain. Friday, September 12, 2008. I've gotten a bit behind on my reading list. there are about 10 books to be reviewed and added to the list. will get around to it one of these days. Rating: Excellent (* * *), Very Good (* * ), Good (* *), Mediocre (* ), Poor (*). Perhaps I take my role as a reader a bit too seriously (as I am merely a Stay-at-Home Mom of two pre. But here goes: the following is a list reviewing all novels I have completed (as of the year 2008 and forward). Didn'...

A Healthy Resolution: January Book Review: The Late Bloomer's Revolution
http://ahealthyresolution.blogspot.com/2009/01/january-09-late-bloomers-revolution.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2009. January Book Review: The Late Bloomer's Revolution. The Late Bloomer's Revolution. On more than one occassion. But, come on. I really struggled to finish this one. My expectations were probably too high for this book and that is the reason I didn't care for it. Although, I'm guessing there are many women out there that could really relate and would thoroughly enjoy it. I would give this book a 2 on a scale of 1-5. It just wasn't for me I guess. Posted by Meagen Ridley. The Stor...

A Healthy Resolution: January Book Review: The Gargoyle
http://ahealthyresolution.blogspot.com/2009/01/january-book-review-gargoyle.html
Saturday, January 17, 2009. January Book Review: The Gargoyle. For my book this month I read Andrew Davidson's The Gargoyle. I really liked reading this book and is one that I will probably read again somewhere down the road. The Gargoyle would be a perfect airplane read. I can get completely engrossed in a book when I am on a plane. I think it's because I have absolutely no interest in talking with the strangers around me and do my best to tune them all out. But back to the book. He loves her. Aww.
