My Naremburn veg garden: February rains

http://naremburnveggarden.blogspot.com/2009/02/february-rains.html

My Naremburn veg garden. My first go at veg growing, inspired by a friend, encouraged by the Earth. Tuesday, February 10, 2009. Time for more snail pellets I think and every day watching my green tomatoes gather on the bunch. One bubby one went red and fell off a few weeks ago and boy was she tasty. And the first crunchy divine cucumber, what a delight. You can tell I have never done this before can't you! Isn't it amazing what some lovely steady rain does? February 15, 2009 at 9:10 PM.

My Naremburn veg garden: February 2009

http://naremburnveggarden.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

My Naremburn veg garden. My first go at veg growing, inspired by a friend, encouraged by the Earth. Thursday, February 26, 2009. With the rain we have had and the abating heat the garden is very happy. I have taken two cucumbers, divine radichio lettuce and great herbs (parsley basil chives) from the patch of late and am ready to consider spring crops. These baby tomatoes were delicious. My Naremburn veg garden. My first go at veg growing, inspired by a friend, encouraged by the Earth. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Carved by the greenie, greatly admired by the son. And it rained most of the day, that gentle seeping kind of rain, perfect hey! Monday, October 27, 2008. Morning light across radicchio. Friday, October 24, 2008. A week of growth and all is well. It rained loads too! This weekend will get the cucumber seeds happening in the seed mix, I think some lettuces will be born in about ...

My Naremburn veg garden: March 2009

http://naremburnveggarden.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

My Naremburn veg garden. My first go at veg growing, inspired by a friend, encouraged by the Earth. Sunday, March 15, 2009. Water tank fixed and season change. Have made yet another salad from the garden today, had it with two fried eggs from our 'girls'. Small quantities of my asian style lettuce, rocket, radicchio, parsley, basil and mint all mixed up together and supplemented by spinach leaves. Beautiful to look at and bloody good to taste. My Naremburn veg garden. My first go at veg growing, inspired by a friend, encouraged by the Earth. Sunday, January 25, 2009. PLEASE HELP with Caterpillars. Green caterpillars are stripping my Asian greens. At first I could deal with a couple by checking daily and removing, now they are dealing with the rocket, and that is where I draw the line. Please help with a non toxic solution. Http:/ www.greenharvest.com.au/pestcontrol/caterpillar info.html. Great work. :). January 28, 2009 at 10:23 PM.

My Naremburn veg garden: And another cucumber

http://naremburnveggarden.blogspot.com/2009/03/and-another-cucumber.html

My Naremburn veg garden. My first go at veg growing, inspired by a friend, encouraged by the Earth. Sunday, March 1, 2009. Today I harvested my third cuc in about 4 weeks. Some beetroot seedlings went in and I removed all the lettuces that weren't at their best. There is a baby watermelon forming, ever so tiny. The chooks have been consistent, three eggs a day for months now, must be happy here! Autumn is here so time to think about what comes next. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Lanie at Edible Urban Garden. I have a little garden in Rozelle about 5km from the centre of Sydney. I love to grow as much organic food as I can in a tiny space. The garden calms and excites me, and is a wonderful little green space in a big city. This blog is a record plotting the changes over seasons and years. View my complete profile. Thursday, August 6, 2015. I planted macadamia tree about 7 years ago. The tiny tree that I planted in 2008. And the best part.the nuts! With many grafted hybrid forms.

Adventures in our Urban Landscape

Adventures in our Urban Landscape. Monday, January 2, 2017. This past November, I planted garlic in one of my new lasagna beds. It's finally breaking through the soil's surface. I bought the " Music. Variety from Seed Savers, because gardening brings out my romantic side. It even makes me laugh at myself, but it's true. I want to know what "musical" garlic tastes like. Then I read this week in Elizabeth Anna Samudio's beautiful work. The Unconventional Edible Garden. I'm deeply moved by this perspective&...
