Elder Jason Russell

Site Updated by his parents. Monday, June 22, 2009. He was the perfect example in this and I know I have a lot to learn. Transfer weekend is always busy and I have missed the blue skies we had every single day last week! I have loved being able to pick up the new missionaries from the airport and I know exactly what they are feeling, mostly nervous but excited and they don't know what to expect! I have been able to see success as I have prayed for this Spirit of Commitment! Posted by Brent and Vicki.

Elder Jason Russell: May 2009

http://www.elderjasonrussell.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

Site Updated by his parents. Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Well I feel like I don’t have much to say since I just talked to you yesterday but things have been going great! I had no idea that D&C 121 was a letter the Prophet Joseph Smith wrote while in Liberty Jail. It was a letter of his prayer to the Lord, than an Answer and then Prophesy. But the thing that I loved was Bro. Birds insight about adversity, he quoted from last conference. The work is going good, we have the same potentials but it seems like they...

Elder Jason Russell: April 27th

http://www.elderjasonrussell.blogspot.com/2009/04/april-27th.html

Site Updated by his parents. Monday, April 27, 2009. I have loved serving in the Office, every day is something new. Wednesday my companion and I were able to go to the Everett mission and pick up two of the new Malibu cars. We meet with their office staff and got to say hi to their mission President and Assistants. We had to make two trips since one of us would drive the van while the other drove behind in the new car! We drove past Bothell and I remembered the Edwards used to live around there! 13353 B...

Site Updated by his parents. Wednesday, May 6, 2009. We have had a very busy week and I wish I had more time to tell you all of the details. Well transfers are tomorrow and the Lord has been answering my prayers. It’s funny because I used to get so nervous for transfer calls, but now I am always at peace. I am staying another transfer in the Office! I was so happy to hear that and my companion and I were practically dancing at the news! We have another ten year old girl named Chloe who continues to come ...

Site Updated by his parents. Saturday, June 28, 2008. June 23, 2008. I just got done with a huge email where I put a lot of details about our week and then it shut down! So I will try to include as much info as I can with the time I have left! This week has been great but way busy as always! On Monday after I emailed you I played racquetball with Bro Avery. I loved it and it was a lot of fun, he played well for being 70 yrs old! Ha-ha The rest of our P-day was a blur and they always go way too fast!

The Russell Family: Happy Birthday David!

http://love2travelfamily.blogspot.com/2010/05/happy-birthday-david.html

Saturday, May 8, 2010. Today is David Birthday. Nan and Earl came over and take us out to dinner at Ruby Tuesday. Surprising enough Kayden sat through the hole meal and he even ate his hamburger. I know I shouldn't be bragging, the next time we go out he will be all over the resturtant. Kaylee thoroughly enjoyed her strawberry lemonade. After dinner we came back to our house and had a flourless Chocolate Cake. It was quite tasty, since I can't have anything with gluten in it. Kayden is into everything!

The Russell Family: November 2009

http://love2travelfamily.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 26, 2009. This poem was written by Kaylee. (She was forced to write it at school during DEAW (Drop Everything and Write) At least that is what she said. Dear Mr. Farmer. Why can't you see? I'm not the one you want to eat! Look at the other two,. Compared to them I'm very bare. One is fat,. One is plump,. I would barely be able to fill you up! Do you need more resons,. Not to pick me? Well, how about the matter of being juicey? I am very dry,. Dry to the bone! A word I shutter.

Go Forth With Faith

Sunday, August 9, 2015. We don't harass people. We are just looking for people that are trying to better their lives. We look for people that have prayed to God for help and hope that we find them. But I love the people here and their kindness whether we teach them or not. These boys wanted to take a picture with a Gringo! It doesn't work. So I am working on that again. When we sit we sleep. Did you have any weird experiences? Not that I can think of off the top of my head. Do they have any weird customs?

Jayden's Mission Blog

Monday, January 11, 2016. Let's blitz through the week, shall we? It was an awesome lesson, one where the Spirit completely directed us as to what we needed to say. The end result was him saying that he wanted to prepare for baptism! We are really excited to be working with this family. For us to just accept Christ and then stand around in a big circle singing glories for the rest of eternity? Clearly I was to be the magical exception to the rule, the one who never went home, right?
