Jayden's Mission Blog

Monday, January 11, 2016. Let's blitz through the week, shall we? It was an awesome lesson, one where the Spirit completely directed us as to what we needed to say. The end result was him saying that he wanted to prepare for baptism! We are really excited to be working with this family. For us to just accept Christ and then stand around in a big circle singing glories for the rest of eternity? Clearly I was to be the magical exception to the rule, the one who never went home, right? http://elderjaydenbarker.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Monday, May 18, 2015. 8203;So, this past week was a very interesting one, and incredibly productive as well. But, surprise #1, I found this at. When I got curious about the internet connection here (it was pretty good):. Surprise Number 3: We were able to go everywhere. Deal To make things even more strange, the Zone Leaders are changing locations as well. I've not seen things this shaken up, well, ever! On a seriously cool side, one of our current ZL's, Elder Johnston, is becoming an AP. Elder John...

So here's the abridged version of my past week! Monday you already know about. Yay for late emails from last week! Tuesday was solid but slow. Awesome lesson on receiving revelation with N* * and D* *. She us so. We saw him again later that day along with his wife and two kids. That's about it for this week. Monday, December 28, 2015. So you think you have free time? I hope everything is going well for you and that all of you had a fantastic Christmas. If you had an opportunity to give your family a really big bone-popping squeezey hug but didn't, please go and give them one for me. Both they and their chiropractor will thank you later for it. Let's start with how the week went, shall we? What good could possibly come from it? We opened presents from home with the other members of the District, at breakfast ...

Monday, December 28, 2015. December 7, 2015 #RiseUp. This past week was one of miracles mingled with sad disappointments. But sweet is the work, and the work goes forward! Monday was a bit of a slower day, but we were able to teach a short lesson with S* * and B* *. They are still making baby steps, but each step is a step in the right direction! We are so excited to help her move toward her future baptism! Alas, I am out of time again, so I will finish this tomorrow and get it off next Monday. Friday wa...

The Ropelato Family- Dave, Natalie, Hunter, Mckell, Lexi, and Garrett. Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Dance Season has Come to an End. The girls had their last dance recital of the year. To be honest it will be nice to have a little break. I feel like we've been living and breathing dance for the last little bit, but the girls love it, which makes me happy. Each teacher chose one girl from their class who was the Star Student for the year. Lexi was chosen from her class. Whoo-hoo! Way to go Lexi!

I guess it was a good experience for him to learn not only that he could survive hard things, but how to also start a fire when everything is wet around you. I am so grateful for amazing leaders that plan such fun activities for the boys to help them learn and to grow. I know this is a camp out Hunter will never forget! Whoot! We headed straight for Radiator Springs Racers. We didn't even have to wait in line to visit with Lightning McQueen. Garrett loved the carossel. Hunter wasn't feeling very good. He was coming down with something, poor kid :(. The Blue Bayou with our glow drinks. Garrett's favorite ride was Star Tours.

They have the students play the recorders, sing songs, and then they have several students do a talent, from playing the piano to speed stacking. It is fun to see the different talents of the students. I need to follow her example and be more brave. Way to Go Mckell! Mckell is my best friend. I love her! I am so blessed to be her mom! We had the best time ever, and it truly was just what I needed to escape reality for a week. It is going to be really hard to go back. Jerry and Darinda, thanks for the memories! Garrett had to make sure his monkey and sloth were all safely fastened, ready for take off. He's the cutest! Costa Rica had some of the best ziplining that I've ever done!

It has been forever since our family has been to Lagoon, so the kids were pretty excited about this. We decided to brave a Saturday and go and get our pictures for our passes. It was fun. These are the rides my cautious Garrett only wanted to go on. He had so much fun in kidland. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Adam's is the big '8'.

Transfer weekend is always busy and I have missed the blue skies we had every single day last week! I have loved being able to pick up the new missionaries from the airport and I know exactly what they are feeling, mostly nervous but excited and they don't know what to expect! I have been able to see success as I have prayed for this Spirit of Commitment! Posted by Brent and Vicki.

Elder Edgel's wisdom: I knew God was a Heavenly Father who loved me beyond anything I could ever imagine and was going to do His best to help me along. Tuesday, March 3, 2015. A few mission pics. We had a building week. Yeup I've never heard of church canceling. I thought rain or snow church would continue but apparently if 8 inches comes down Denver shuts down. If Steamboat did that they would never have church haha. With Church canceled we set up 3 way splits and got a ton of work done. I love you all!

Elder Jay Sargent. - The Mission

Well, this week was a rapid one. My companion headed down to Kungsbacka the day before transfers to visit his family, which left a convert of two years from England to be my companion for the day. Good ol' Elder Morley. Sometimes in the frivolity of our daily lives, and the opportunities that lay before us, we forget the core beliefs that can truly heal the wounded heart. Through experience, and testing that waters, if you will. That's just the way it is, as Lesane Parish Crooks is famous for saying.

I'd like to begin this last post with an accurate, albeit slightly macabre, quote by Samuel Johnson:. 8220;When a man knows he is to be hanged.it concentrates his mind wonderfully.”.
