Texas Cuties: January 2014
http://ourtexastrio.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 21, 2014. It's been such a treat to have so many visitors! I just want to hang a sign outside that says "Cousins Welcome Here". When my latest visitor, cousin Kristina, was here we spent Saturday together exploring without kids. We visited historic Oregon City and the Oregon Trail Museum. We had an awesome little lunch at Singer Hill Cafe and I finally had my Stumptown latte! And it was good. Moss had grown into the engraving on this headstone. So we looked him up. When we were first new...

Texas Cuties: December 2013
http://ourtexastrio.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. 1 Auntie Vanessa and cousin Felicia came to visit. We drove them around to foggy wooded locations to make art. Then they took the girls to Christmas Zoolights and gave Mom and Dad the night off. And then, unfortunately, they had to leave. 2 We found Santa at a working dairy farm and waited 3 hours to see him. Eva refused to speak to him after all that waiting and asked her sisters to tell him that she'd be sending him a letter instead. But the pic was worth it. While I do my u...

http://ourtexastrio.blogspot.com/2014/03/a-week-in-life.html
Friday, March 28, 2014. A week in the life. It's a good thing I love my job. Here's my week in review. Wake up and to birthcenter to meet client 1 in early labor. Send client 1 home still in early labor. Drive home to rest up. Answer no less than a dozen phone calls and texts from various clients. Wake up and to birthcenter to meet client 1 in early labor again. Still at birthcenter with client 1, attempt to leave student midwife in charge so I can catch short nap. Wake up and attend client 1 in labor.

Texas Cuties: September 2012
http://ourtexastrio.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 13, 2012. I was going through the bedtime routine, trying to keep my cool through multiple requests for water, hugs, kisses, books, daddy. All while aching to sit on the sofa with the daddy and watch Snow White and the Huntsman. Mommy time, you know? Then Eva asks (in the sweetest little voice) "Mommy, can you find my Barbie? I really miss her. I want to snuggle with her.". Seriously? She has pink, and long hair and a very pretty smile. Please Mommy? Thursday, September 6, 2012. Mia h...

Texas Cuties: June 2013
http://ourtexastrio.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Hike (verb): to walk around outside. This morning I woke up in the mood for an adventure. I considered an overnight camping trip, but decided that was unwise while awaiting my first birth due any time now. So we settled on a day hike. Like, you want us to all drive somewhere far away so we can walk outside? Oh yeah. Sounds great." God bless sarcastic daughters and the teens they will become. Do you know what happened? We found a lake and the cows that had left the lovely pies...

Texas Cuties: June 2012
http://ourtexastrio.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 9, 2012. I'm spending way too much time on the road and away from my family overnight all for the sake of higher education and achieving my goals. It's a sacrifice, but I have an AWESOME husband who manages to work and parent at the same time without losing his mind. Most the time. And I'm almost done! Last week as I was driving home after 2 nights away, I had this thought:. 1) I must be living right if that's my biggest regret. 2) get home and get to the store and make those treats.

Texas Cuties: July 2013
http://ourtexastrio.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 14, 2013. If I could remember which box I packed the old photo albums in, I would share pictures of a sturdy 2 year old girl juggling a soccer ball. Ali says soccer is "in her bones". Let me tell you about #27. #27 decided to take it upon herself to harass and antagonize #79. She repeatedly got behind Ali and shoved her back, shoulder, side. I was shocked! When did this start happening? Where is the stinking ref? And #27 backed off. That follow us all the way to the car. Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
