Greetings from THE FUTURE: 7/19/09 - 7/26/09

http://www.elizabeth-inthefuture.blogspot.com/2009_07_19_archive.html

Monday, July 20, 2009. Traveling is So Many New Kinds of Uncomfortable! And Some Old Kinds. Plus we got eaten alive all through dinner, making all the Jodhpur interns who had discontinued their malaria medicine (including me) a little nervous. We enjoyed a little taste of Austria for breakfast at Cafe Edelweiss (Muesli and drip coffee! And Date and Walnut Pie! Even though I complain about being force fed and not knowing what's up with my food situation, I love the care and effort my host mother puts into...

http://www.elizabeth-inthefuture.blogspot.com/2008_08_17_archive.html

Wednesday, August 20, 2008. From there we were bused to various mining attractions where we shuffled around, rubbing our eyes and trying not to drool too visibly. We went to a museum with replicas of old tyme buildings, like a typical miner's house, a bank, and a police station. To the right is me, experimenting with being a miner's wife. To the right is a traditional mining bathroom (bucket with threadbare curtain). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Greetings from THE FUTURE. View my complete profile.

Greetings from THE FUTURE: Sort of Settled

http://www.elizabeth-inthefuture.blogspot.com/2010/08/sort-of-settled.html

Monday, August 2, 2010. I tried halfheartedly to sprinkle the welcome-dinner conversation with little German phrases and simple sentences, but mostly the daughter and her boyfriend kept things going in English. Starting tomorrow, only German! Even if we only talk about hobbies and going to the park! Tomorrow's Adventure: Handy Einkaufen! August 3, 2010 at 6:26 PM. Im so inspired to restart my blog too, although God knows what adventures are possible in Cleveland. No blocks of lard! Lard is good for every...

Greetings from THE FUTURE: Der Anfang des Deutschkurs

http://www.elizabeth-inthefuture.blogspot.com/2010/08/der-anfang-des-deutschkurs.html

Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Der Anfang des Deutschkurs. I wish everyone in Germany spoke like my new German teacher. Life would be made in the shade! She enunciates everything and uses such a nice, accessible vocabulary! But maybe it is too much to wish to return to the golden days at BBHS. Germans have things figured out. I really liked the movie but was worried by the end. Like everyone probably. I've only been here four days! I like to feel refreshed! And Cologne's population was taking full advantage ...

Knittalicious: Forever-Scarf is FINSHED!

http://knittalicious.blogspot.com/2009/02/forever-scarf-is-finshed.html

A collaborative knitting blog. Saturday, February 21, 2009. And isn't it pretty on her? It did take me forever, but I do think the finished product looks really nice. Especially after I blocked it. I didn't realize what wonders blocking does for such little trouble! And it really retained its shape. I will never question the greatness of blocking again. The details. (also on my Ravelry). Yarn: 3 skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca and Silk. That's it for the Clapotis! Well, is that enough pictures for one post?

Knittalicious: July 2009

http://knittalicious.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

A collaborative knitting blog. Sunday, July 5, 2009. Hiatius from blogging, but never from knitting! I'll go over them quickly. I lost my camera case a little while back, so I improvised and knit up a new one with some of my extra Peace Fleece, the same yarn I used for my sweater. And what would a camera case be without an embroidered sheep on the back? I also started a pair of Spot Check Socks. And for Kristen's baby shower! And I've resumed my argyle hat project from a year ago! It's a mystery knit!

Knittalicious: January 2009

http://knittalicious.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html

A collaborative knitting blog. Saturday, January 31, 2009. Well, enough of the goofy pictures, I was just having fun with the color accent on my camera, but the true color is in the photo below. Also, the details. Pattern: Crofter's Cowl (available on Ravelry. Needles: US Size 7. Yarn: Malabrigo worsted merino, about half a skein. That's it. More yarn today, hopefully I'll finish this forever-scarf by next weekend. Friday, January 16, 2009. Just finished my first sweater ever! Not bad, huh? Here is a lon...

Knittalicious: July 2008

http://knittalicious.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

A collaborative knitting blog. Friday, July 18, 2008. Knitted Organs. Weird. Look what crazy knitted stuff my infallible friend Tina found! Sunday, July 13, 2008. Socks for a Lady. Haha, ridiculous title, I know, but don't these socks look like they should be worn by a lady? The lace and all? And I love purple. It might be my favorite color again. So Berlin Muster socks: Finished! Anyway, I bought the yarn at the Knit Nook. Which makes me excited because I had fun with this yarn. Pattern for free here.

Knittalicious: October 2009

http://knittalicious.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html

A collaborative knitting blog. Thursday, October 22, 2009. Mystery knit revealed: A wedding gift for my sister and her husband! I spent all summer knitting it, and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. It does still ripple a little, but from what I can tell, most people's Hemlock Ring Blankets do. No real adjustments, except I made the flower a couple rows bigger. Luckily, I got it figured out. Finished (and finally blogged)! And, more importantly, happily married! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Knittalicious: Mrs. Darcy Cardigan

http://knittalicious.blogspot.com/2009/04/mrs-darcy-cardigan.html

A collaborative knitting blog. Sunday, April 12, 2009. Pattern: Mrs. Darcy Cardigan. Needles: US 9, Addi Turbo - THE BEST EVER. I'm addicted to these needles. Yarn: Just barely over 3 skeins Peace Fleece Worsted, color: Shaba Green, from the Red Purl. Of course :) The yarn is a little itchy, but if I'm wearing it over a long sleeve shirt, it doesn't bother me usually. I just need to wash it with some lanolin, I think. In a few days. Aren't the buttons cute? To the yarn store when my car was broken.

Knittalicious: June 2010

http://knittalicious.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

A collaborative knitting blog. Sunday, June 27, 2010. The pattern I'm doing is the Berlin Muster one I've done before and loved, but I'm being reminded now how much of a headache it is. You have to follow the chart so closely or else you mess up. Here are my finished projects from winter:. 1) Felted Fair Isle Hat. I was actually intending for this to turn out as a beret but it didn't really look like a beret at all and just looked like a big hat. So I felted it! They're very comfortable, and I'd wear the...

Knittalicious: December 2008

http://knittalicious.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

A collaborative knitting blog. Sunday, December 14, 2008. Quick post during finals week. I don't have that many either, but maybe I'll take more soon. Also, be on the lookout for another post soon of Beth's wrist warmers and beret! Finished that project last night and ended the evening with a FABULOUS photoshoot. One last picture, where you can see the rim of marron at the bottom of the cuff. I like it.). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Siena started taking swimming lessons and loves it. We go once a week for half an hour. It is really convenient because the pool is literally across the street from where we live. She was quite the litte fish over the summer at Yaya's pool but I wasn't brave enough to put her under. Thanks Yaya for the cute suit! Where's Waldo . I mean Siena.

In Spirit Inspiration Speaks. Tuesday, August 14, 2012. WHY IS IT SO? I am moved to write, to try to find an answer to the above question. You may know the answer, it may be obvious to you. Yet for me, because of my work I have not addressed the question.until now. It was while working with clients that I came to a fuller realization on a problem some, perhaps more than some, of my clients were having dealing with, in coming to see an alternative health professional for their life issues. Today there are...
