It was 25 years ago today that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published the findings of a sudden disease outbreak in their journal, the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. It was later found that the people who had this unknown disease were suffering from a autoimmune defiency syndrom, later titled AIDS. The BBC news website has a great article.
