Tuesday, December 7, 2010. We have had the wonderful problem of being inundated by guests this autumn. We've had fun and excitement about every other week at our house since October, and I have been the official tour guide, which I looooove! Here is a little overview of what's been going on:. We went with Dean and Margaret to the Great Pumpkin Blaze near Sleepy Hollow, New York. It was an awesome display of thousands of carved pumpkins on the grounds of an old Dutch Manor. Very cool. A bonus for us!

Wednesday, October 27, 2010. It seems as if I have disappeared from the blogging world once again, however, I do have two very good excuses. Let me explain. Excuse number one. My walls and carpet have been crying out to me for years to give them a makeover, but in my craziness I have ignored their pleas for help. Once Em started kindergarten, however, I could no longer ignore their cries so I have spent the last 6 weeks repainting, recarpeting and refurnishing parts of the house. Yay! It's going too fast!

In the years we've lived here, we've found that people tend to get worked up over oncoming snowstorms, and we have never bought into this philosophy. However, it would have served us well this time! Thirty minutes after Chi and I arrived home the power went out and stayed out for 9 more days! It was a marathon of no power, no water. Sheesh! Thursday, September 3, 2009. During the summer the boys participated in the Sommers Village Players. It is a small theater group for kids. They divided them up in groups according to ages and had 2-hour classes every day for two weeks and at the end they put on a play. It was wonderful! This year it was "Why Mosquitos buzz in peoples ears". I was not sure if Justin was going to like it because when we play theater at our house he never looks very excited about it. However, he loved it!
