August 7, 2015. Sammamish Summer 2015 - Part Two. Our time here always seems to go by so quickly. We were able to do so much fun stuff, but are now regretting that we didn't make it down to the lake or up to the cabin a little more often. Next year I guess. A dishwasher mishap turned into a fun bubble surprise for Sophie and her princesses! Sophie learned to ride this little scooter while we were there. She won't win any speed records at this point, but she can do it! The secret to keeping a toddler happy.

July 25, 2015. Emerald Isle 2015 - Part 1. In July we flew to North Carolina for a beach trip with all the Howes. I have finally finished sorting through pictures and have narrowed down the hundreds of pictures to just 60 - it was a fun week! The house where we stayed was right on the beach! August 8, 2015. Hooray for the kindness of strangers! I looked for a place to pull over, but there is no shoulder throughout the construction zone so we had to keep going. There are a few emergency pull over spaces, but every one we passed already had a car in it (other victims? So I was just praying we could make it to the exit. We were able to exit and I pulled over on a side street to inspect the damage. Completely flat - no bueno. And I was more than happy to comply. What a way to start a weekend!

March 31, 2015. I can't believe today is the last day of March! It was a busy month and we are looking forward to April. My Spring Break is just around the corner, and we took advantage of some amazing airfare prices and booked a last minute trip to Texas. We are so excited to see family and friends! The potty has arrived! My birthday girl. Hopefully I will get around to posting a 2 year update sometime in April. Dropping pebbles in the storm drain - boy do we know how to have fun! August 26, 2014. Three weeks in review. The last few weeks have been busy for us! I went back to work at the beginning of August, and just survived the first week of a new school year. Dave is in the final stages of his 2nd year paper for school, and has started studying for comps (aka, the test he will take in a few months to show that he knows everything or will get kicked out of the program - no pressure! June 25, 2015. Potty Training - The Adventure Continues. We are three weeks in now and have spent what probably amounts to hours sitting with her by the potty, but it's going well! She still has accidents when we forget to take her to the bathroom, but the incident free days are starting to outnumber the accident days. I feel like we'll probably be in this phase for a few months, or more, before she really gets it and we can say she's officially potty trained. But I'm not complaining! June 23, 2015.

August 4, 2015. Sammamish Summer 2015 - Part One. The day after we returned home from North Carolina we packed our bags again and started the drive up to Washington. I was a little worried about how Sophie would handle the drive since we had endured a 3 hour drive and a 5 hour flight the day before, but she did fine. July 26, 2015. Emerald Isle 2015 - Part Two. Part of the family went on a trip to Cape Lookout, but it was going to be a long adventure so we decided a harbor cruise in Beaufort would be better for the little kids. Sophie was really excited to go on a boat. We saw lots of animals, including wild horses that live on the island, but even 40 minutes started to feel long to the little kids so Uncle Tim kept them busy with an exciting game of "Who can see a green boat?
