Is a funny age to turn. it feels so much less momentous than the year that precedes it. normally i love my birthday, and get excited for it for weeks in advance, but i had a jolt on tuesday when i suddenly worried that i had missed my birthday somehow. (impossible i know, but i have been so preoccupied lately.). There is a giant box in the lobby as we walk up to get our mail. Is that for us?

(i am working four days per week for the next few months as we transition back, so thursday is the new friday! Today’s ruby friday plans: a walk to get mama some coffee once she wakes up from her nap, reading some books, a little playmat time (and the dreaded tummy time), and all the snuggles i can get.

I jazzed mine up with a flower made from this tutorial at How About Orange. I used a pipe cleaner for the stem so that it would sit right in the vase.
