What Next?: May 2011 - Lebanon [Beirut]
http://christinetheriault.blogspot.com/2012/01/may-2011-lebanon-beirut.html
Just exploring life one experience at a time. Sunday, January 22, 2012. May 2011 - Lebanon [Beirut]. The next day we finally made it to Beirut to check out the city. Meagan and I took a taxi downtown and grabbed lunch at a cute little cafe. I was really surprised at how new a lot of the buildings and area is in Beirut. I'm not really sure what I expected, actually. But I didn't expect it to be so modern and high fashion. Some call it "the Paris of the Middle East". Clock in the center of the city. Sara a...

What Next?: May 2011 - Lebanon [The Big Day]
http://christinetheriault.blogspot.com/2012/01/may-2011-lebanon-big-day.html
Just exploring life one experience at a time. Sunday, January 22, 2012. May 2011 - Lebanon [The Big Day]. So - the whole reason I decided to go to Lebanon was because my cousin Jennifer was getting married. "Why Lebanon? Everyone asks. Well - Elias is from Lebanon (duh! Jen and Elias met in Montreal (and currently live in Morocco) but decided they wanted to get married back in Lebanon. She is such a wonderful person and it was fun to see her so happy! Mel, Uncle Greg, Jen, Aunt Colette. They were married...

What Next?: May 2011 - Lebanon [Day After]
http://christinetheriault.blogspot.com/2012/01/may-2011-lebanon-day-after.html
Just exploring life one experience at a time. Sunday, January 22, 2012. May 2011 - Lebanon [Day After]. The day after the wedding.we slept in. Everyone recovered from the long, fun night. And then we [the family] were invited to meet Jen and Elias for a late lunch up in the mountains - in Faraya. It was colder up there and also beautiful. Lunch was also amazing. Like all the food that I had in Lebanon. Loved it! After we ate, Elias' family took us to this lookout area and we [I] took a bunch of pictures.

What Next?: 2011 May - Stockholm
http://christinetheriault.blogspot.com/2012/01/2011-may-stockholm.html
Just exploring life one experience at a time. Sunday, January 22, 2012. 2011 May - Stockholm. I left Lebanon and headed to Stockholm, Sweden! After a layover in Prague (still need to visit that city), I arrived in Stockholm around noon. My wonderful friend Noriko lives in Stockholm and was kind enough to let me stay with her for the weekend. Noriko and I worked a lot of long hours together in NY and I was so excited to reunite with her again! We decided to go to the Stockholm Archipelago [Islands]. We go...

What Next?: May 2011 - Final Day in Lebanon [Ruins in Baalbek]
http://christinetheriault.blogspot.com/2012/01/may-2011-final-day-in-lebanon-ruins-in.html
Just exploring life one experience at a time. Sunday, January 22, 2012. May 2011 - Final Day in Lebanon [Ruins in Baalbek]. My last day in Lebanon, I went on a tour with my cousins to Baalbek to see the ruins. We took a bus from Beirut to Baalbek. Baalbek is actually probably only about 20 miles away from Syria. Anyway - the ruins were quite impressive. Here are a few pics. This was the second location of ruins we came to. And I can't say enough about the hospitality of Elias' family! Sara and Dave G.

Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change. April 2, 2012 by Emily Wilcox. Moved my blog to Tumblr, sorry WordPress…. I Like For You to be Still. October 14, 2011 by Emily Wilcox. I like for you to be still: it is as though you were absent,. And you hear me from far away and my voice does not touch you. It seems as though your eyes had flown away. And it seems that a kiss had sealed your mouth. As all things are filled with my soul. You emerge from the things, filled with my soul. And time and agai...

Thursday, 21 November 2013. I hate this feeling, this loneliness. It’s always there. Gently caressing or ripping out my heart. She takes the sheet with her as she rolls over in her sleep. The movement startles me I’d forgotten she was there. We’d been impatient. Ripping clothes, both eager to touch and explore. It was only a temporary relief. A fuck to scratch an itch, distract my aching heart. She isn’t you, it'll never be you. Like an old friend it settles in, this loneliness. Friday, 2 November 2012.
