Spring is finally here, and not a minute too soon. The trees are bursting.seemingly losing their grey pallor overnight. The birds are singing. Thank you God. Having not grown up in a church that celebrated Lent, I need to remind myself to do so. It is a good daily reminder of the passing of time. The cycles of the church. This year I found a video series.posted daily.under 5 minutes each. that I am really enjoying. A simple reading from the gospel of John. After a bit of searching I figured out it is read from the CEV .Contemporary English Version.which is refreshing. Http:/ www.24-7prayer.com/blog/1717. Labels: this and that. The Greatest Love of All. The Greatest Love of All. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law? 37 And He said to him, “ ‘ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. ’. 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself. ’. 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”. Generally I read two devotional blogs each morning that come to me via email. This morning one of them had me reread Psalm 23. In my journal I made a list of what God will do for me:. He makes me lie down. He leads me by quiet waters. He restores my soul. Wow Who would avoid such a God? He guides me in paths of righteousness. (which will bring further blessing.). He is with me. His rod and staff comfort me. (I know He will keep me within a safe parameter). He prepares a table for me. My Art Journal pages.

As I review this gracenotes blog, I'm amazed at the passage of time. While thankful for recorded moments, I see there is much to update, and to figure out. Little by little. So much in life is the same.same struggles, same joys. So much has changed.new struggles, new joys. Years have come and gone. Still blessed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Good to see you.it's been too long. My fault, of course. But now that I have GRADUATED, and am securely employed, and the holiday hubbub is behind us, perhaps we can get into the swing of this again. Do I have any readers left? So many posts are muddled about in my noggin. enough to keep us busy for a bit. And then of course life will continue to happen. Do you have any resolutions? Do you choose a WORD or a VERSE or a SLOGAN for the year ahead? Giving thanks. eucharisteo. I'm still stuck there,. Given o...

There are times when I connect with my place in this world and am overwhelmed with the blessings. This morning is one of those sacred times. The verse that came to mind as I was going through the morning routine was Psalm 16:6. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places;. Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me. I have set the Lord continually before me;. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. 9 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices;. My flesh also will dwell securely. Hot co...

gracenotes: Happy Valentine's Day
http://graciered.blogspot.com/2012/02/happy-valentines-day.html
This year finds me with a little extra time on my hands, and I was able to use it to spread the love. Our daughters received these valentines, made from a shrunken (oops) and then felted sweater made of Alpaca wool. The handwork was so relaxing as I sat by the fire. A few others received some layered collages of stamps and painting, similar to what appears in my art journaling. Spread some love today! February 17, 2012 at 9:20 AM.
