David Alviti - Tree Services and Rustic Creations: More Pruning
http://www.davidalviti.com/2015/02/more-pruning.html
Sunday, 15 February 2015. Some more fruit tree pruning this week. This was a cluttered 'Newton Wonder' a good cooker apparently. After - a good thin of the centre and some of the lower scaffold branches, as well as reducing the height. Shame it was a bit of a wet day. Made wetter by the fact we had some suckers on a willow to remove, luckily the customers had some waders for us to use. Also I made Jack do it, which made it much better! David Alviti - Tree Services and Rustic Creations: January 2015
http://www.davidalviti.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, 18 January 2015. Horse Chestnut take down. Got called in to help a couple of friends with a biggish job they'd picked up. I was just there for the day with the goal of getting the tree down in a day, as the guys were coming back the following day to split the remaining wood and tidy up. It was quite alot of tree to get down in one day. And although there was a clear drop zone, the ground was quite wet and the lawn tidy, so we still had to rigg about 70% of the brash and larger diameter timber.

Textile Print Design, Embroidery, Styling, Visual Merchandiser and Vintage Fashion Enthusiast. After weeks of designing a wide range of prints loosely related to the theme of 'movement', this was my final presentation of printed samples. Each sample is digitally printed onto silk and displayed by hanging loosely from shoulder pads mounted onto a wall. Overall, I have been happy with my progress throughout the project and with the overall presentation. Next stop, degree show! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sawdust In My Socks: MDF Discs
http://www.sawdustinmysocks.com/2015/05/mdf-discs.html
Sunday, 17 May 2015. Had one of my more unusual jobs to do this weekend. Someone had ordered eight 45cm diameter discs out of MDF for a project they were doing. 45cm disc of MDF. To make them all the same size I made a jig and cut them with the router. Jig made for the router to cut circles the same size. Completed stack of discs. Each one was then chamfered to remove the sharp edge before being delivered. An unusal job but as you can see I'll do any that come my way! 17 May 2015 at 15:14. My other blog ...

Sawdust In My Socks: Battening Out
http://www.sawdustinmysocks.com/2015/08/battening-out.html
Sunday, 9 August 2015. Worked at my brothers on Friday. We battened out his two external walls so they could be insulated and then plaster boarded. Rather than just fixing them to the wall we levelled them up as well to make a much better job of it. although this takes a lot longer it's worth it in the long run. All the battens have plastic behind them to prevent any damp tracking through the wall. Battening out a wall. 9 August 2015 at 18:18. 9 August 2015 at 23:44. Its all about trying not to loose too...
