Emma's Blog: August 2010
http://emmabrown26.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, 26 August 2010. Screen capture from Pathe International. Tuesday, 10 August 2010. Picture taken from www.tattonparkbiennial.org. I also loved Marcia Farquhar's giant rocking horse sculpture:. Jem Finer's 'Spiegelei' a giant silver ball on top of a wooden shed which was actually a camera obscura projecting the upside-down shadow of the Japanese gardens around the inside of the ball. And Helen Marten's 'Coveting Keratin' and 'Milk on white', a huge truncated sculpture of a lion and a billboard.

Tuesday, 17 November 2009. Teacup on Thomas Street part 2. After a week or so of confusion and neglect Nia. And I finally returned to Teacup to finish off the window display. This time we were joined by Arron. Here are some more low quality phone pictures - go to Nia's blog for better ones! Thursday, 5 November 2009. Teacup on Thomas Street. We thought of a few ideas: gingerbread men, snowflake baubles, snow/polka dots, Christmas jumpers and John took the ideas to Teacup to consult with them.

Saturday, 9 April 2011. Here are my faves (as you can see the giraffe comes out on top, it's a childhood love that will never die). The giraffe head just peeping in from the side on this photo made me chuckle! Baby giraffe just melted my heart. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Emma's Blog: Brian Wildsmith
http://emmabrown26.blogspot.com/2011/03/brian-wildsmith.html
Sunday, 27 March 2011. Another fantastic illustrator that I've been looking at recently is Brian Wildsmith, he is a childrens book illustrator. I love his use of colour and the soft way that he applies it to create dream like worlds and creatures. His animals and characters all have a really distinct style that is simple but full of life. Here are a few screen shots of his work:. All images are screenshots from Brian Wildsmiths website: http:/ www.brianwildsmith.com. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
