Avalon et Albion: Failte Rang Gaeilge!
http://mauvemagnolia.blogspot.com/2010/04/failte-rang-gaeilge.html
Connoisseur of Stories and Traveler of Foreign Lands. Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Welcome to Irish Class. So Saturday was more or less a day of rest. We got settled into living here in Gleann. On Sunday it was glorious out and we hiked up the side of the valley, onto the cliffs where we saw a Napoleonic. Yesterday evening Don Byrne, a local writer, came and gave a poetry reading and talked to us about writing poetry. He will be leading poetry workshops later on in our stay here. So so excited. So far I've m...

Avalon et Albion: History is Alive and Well in Dublin
http://mauvemagnolia.blogspot.com/2010/04/history-is-alive-and-well-in-dublin.html
Connoisseur of Stories and Traveler of Foreign Lands. Thursday, April 15, 2010. History is Alive and Well in Dublin. So as soon as I got to Dublin on Monday I met up with my friend Shon at my hostel. Been hanging with him and my friend Esther ever since. We saw the GPO (General Post Office) where the declaration was made during the Easter 1916 uprising. There are still bullet holes in the marble. And a statue of Cú Chulainn, where Pearse called him to his side. Until next time. Slan! Love, Aunt Bonny.

Avalon et Albion: The Glen is Amazing!
http://mauvemagnolia.blogspot.com/2010/05/glen-is-amazing.html
Connoisseur of Stories and Traveler of Foreign Lands. Monday, May 10, 2010. The Glen is Amazing! As for myself, I have taken to doing lots of baking and cooking, to my surprise and enjoyment. I'm actually quite proud of myself for figuring out how to make bread without any measuring equipment. Lots of stews and bread and scones and biscuits and delightful concoctions I randomly think up. It's tons of fun and I hope my talent continues back in the states. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Avalon et Albion: May 2012
http://mauvemagnolia.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Connoisseur of Stories and Traveler of Foreign Lands. Thursday, May 3, 2012. Just a quick update. Still feeling a bit jetlagged and I've done more walking on the past couple days than I have in a long while. Met several of Reed's friends and went out to an antique market in the east end this morning. Other than that my only current plans are for a good night's sleep. Maybe the sun will come out and play tomorrow. 'Night all! Tuesday, May 1, 2012. On my way again. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://mauvemagnolia.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Connoisseur of Stories and Traveler of Foreign Lands. Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Surreal Happenings in Glasgow. Back from the library @ 1am. Walking through the frozen night. I meet a man. How are you not freezing? Me too' he says. I've got a sweater underneath my jacket. And i'm still frozen'. But keep it to myself. Where are you from? Why come here, to the frozen north'. I like it here' i say. We chat some more. Heading the same way home. I suspect he's a bit drunk. But i don't mind. Have a good night'.
