The trees don’t weep in sadness. They don’t let go of their adornment quietly. Our trees go out in a blaze. A fire of color. Red yellow pale green. Lighting up the horizon. Bestowing on us a reminder. To not go easily. Not to let the winds strip you with ease. Your garbs may be threadbare. But you are never naked.

It seems crazy to me that we sit in the dark. Hearing but not listening to nature. Why do we deny what’s in front of us. That death and destruction go hand in hand with birth. Do we fear death so much that even in nature. Not touching us intimately. We need not eschew it. Know that life is to be lived precisely because it will end.
