Sunday, May 6, 2012. The American Dog Derby (Dog Sled Races). I've always wanted to see the dogsled races. So we did. What a fun sport. It has a culture of it's own. Amber had to get her fill of the snow mounds. That girl likes to climb. Snowshoeing at Harriman State Park. It's such a joy when your kids decide they love the things you love. But now the nights are cool, the mornings are getting darker, the days are pleasant, and the tan lines are fading. Preschool starts next week, gymnastics starts the week after, story time starts back up at the library, and the Primary Program is fast approaching. So we say goodbye to Summer. It’s been a good one. Spilled the Jilly Beans. Monday, December 10, 2012. Christmas music is a favorite in our house. We own around 50 CDs of Christmas music and we are always on the lookout for new Christmas albums by our favorite artists and groups. So, naturally, I'm drawn to this video by Lindsey Stirling. This song has several traditional Christmas carols put together in a really great medley. I love the little "elf locked in Santa's workshop" story. Super cute. Thursday, December 6, 2012.
