A place to share stories and laughs our animals have given us. Newer posts →. November 1, 2010. And when I graduated high school and became “an adult” my riding “scholarship” was cut off. And rightfully so, no bitterness hear. But this meant a hiatus from riding for several years. I joined the equestrian team in college and helped some friends ride horses for clients just to keep from having complete and total withdrawal. But riding a. Horse isn’t quite the same as riding your. I love you and miss you.

A place to share stories and laughs our animals have given us. I am an average woman who has the absolute need to be around horses. I did not grow up on a farm, no one in my family rides, but from an early age I wanted to learn how to ride and was hooked from the start. I have owned a handful of horses over the years and all have made me laugh, hurt and unapoligetically shown me who I truly am. I Got One Ride In! November 29, 2010. Family, Horses, and Turkey…oh my! November 24, 2010. November 18, 2010.

A place to share stories and laughs our animals have given us. Family, Horses, and Turkey…oh my! I Got One Ride In! November 29, 2010. To my delight my family was willing to let me sneak away for a ride. My brother and his wife brought my 10 month old nice out to meet Dexter then left me to ride. It was windy and short (30 minutes) but it was just enough to fill my cup. So, I’m glad I got to ride, being that I didn’t expect to at all. Thanks Family! View all posts by mablekb →. A place to share stories and laughs our animals have given us. Dexter – You’re a Genius! Family, Horses, and Turkey…oh my! What would you like to do? November 18, 2010. Enter L.E. – my new Pony Club horse! Or so I thought. She jumped just fine but she hated it! Horses are amazing animals, the do so much for us and ask for little in return. So when possible I try to remember to ask “What would you like to do? I am an average woman who has the absolute need to be around horses. I did not grow up on a f...

A place to share stories and laughs our animals have given us. What would you like to do? I Got One Ride In! Family, Horses, and Turkey…oh my! November 24, 2010. So when I notice my dad getting more interested in the geese than the horse I try to wrap it up. And we end up with a short slightly un-fulfilling ride. How do I balance? So what do I do? I know there are busier people out there who handle this kind of time commitment. .what do I do? View all posts by mablekb →. What would you like to do? You ar...

Kelly & Dexter's Lessons: Yeah! A Lesson
http://dexslessons.blogspot.com/2011/04/yeah-lesson.html
Kelly and Dexters Lessons. Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Unfortunately the latter was more correct. We weren't awful and she did comment on on my frame being better. But we didn't get off the 20 meter circle the entire time! Bummer, I was hoping to run through at least one test since I have a show this weekend. Things to work on - Keeping him underneath me, if I feel like I need to lean forward he is pulling and falling on his forehand. No more easy fixes, when he isn't paying attention or his head isn't...

Kelly and Dexters Lessons. Monday, January 10, 2011. Sit Back. Relax. Ok, so there was snow on Sunday, but I was proactive enough to change my lesson to Saturday so we still got to ride. It was a short lesson and we seemed to focus mostly me this time. Oooh! And we got to leg yield. So Dexter may have some easy rides this week where we just trot around while I remember to lean back and relax. Dexter did really well at the leg yielding, we weren't crossing any arenas or anything, but we were getting a few...

Kelly and Dexters Lessons. Monday, February 21, 2011. Trainer gave birth to a new baby last week so we will be taking a hiatus from lessons for a while. Just in time for show season! Awesome. Kelly and Dexters Lessons. Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Picking Up the Shoulder - Delayed. I've been pretty busy so this post is actually for my lesson last week. Kelly and Dexters Lessons. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. A Different Kind of Lesson. But I think the most value I got out of it was finally getting to see what he's supposed to look like.
