Three Girls and a Daddy: Maddux @ 9 months
http://ryan2-1.blogspot.com/2014/10/maddux-10-months.html
Sunday, October 5, 2014. Maddux @ 9 months. Army crawl expert. Gets around the house quickly just using his arms to drag the rest of his body around. He's only crawled on all fours for a few short moments. Loves books, but is in the mode of turning the pages as quickly as he can before moving on to the next one. 4 teeth with 4 more erupting. Still no jabbering or attempts at any sounds other than screams/shouts and his consistent "Ehhhhh". Is still a happy, happy boy in the morning. Maddux will interact ...

Living Through It: August 2014
http://kaleyshoaf.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 24, 2014. I'm not going to catch up right now, so here are a few random thoughts instead. 1 Humidity is so weird to me. Yesterday it was 80 degrees, but the RealFeel was 97 degrees, thanks to our good friend humidity. Why doesn't it do that in the winter? Why can't it be 30 degrees with a RealFeel of 47? Instead we get 10 degrees with RealFeel of -10, thanks to our other good friend wind. And these take-out runs. (Can you beLIEVE that icing? Nuts I think I ate about half of it.). 7 I read ...

Living Through It: God's Love
http://kaleyshoaf.blogspot.com/2015/08/gods-love.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. This will be out of order, but I just wanted to record a special moment that I had today. I've found that as I record moments, I remember them better. And remembering times when Heavenly Father has shown His love to me has been absolutely paramount the last few years. Those memories are often what get me through my trials. My future could look like any number of things and which of those things should I be striving for? I wish I knew the reason for the delay. Of this I do not doubt.

Living Through It: June 2015
http://kaleyshoaf.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 14, 2015. Last weekend, we gathered to celebrate Micah and all she accomplished during her high school career. She's fabulous, and we love her so much! She had a big class - more than 500 students - but the ceremony went surprisingly quickly. I appreciate a snappy graduation. We were almost as far away as you can get, but there she is walking across the stage. I love being sandwiched between these two beautiful sisters! Isaac and Dominika Leaving. Late that night, after they'd gotten everyth...

Living Through It: December 2014
http://kaleyshoaf.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Our family Christmas tradition is to have dinner at my parents' house on Christmas Eve. Then we usually have some kind of program followed by opening presents with those who won't be there. Christmas morning. My mom made most of the dinner and it was delicious, of course. Our whole family, minus Thomas, was there, plus my Grandma Shoaf and our family friend Laura Roman. Listen, you can't expect me to carve the ham and not take some bites, especially when I don't eat lunch.

Monday, March 21, 2011. BYU, My Dad, and Grandpas. When my age had barely crossed into double-digits there was a scrawny little Texan that had moved to Provo, UT, and taken over my world. Every Saturday morning my Dad and I would make a trip to the local grocery store for chips, salsa, and Shasta. Then we'd hunker down in front of the TV for another day of Ty Detmer slinging the ball all around the field. BYU football. Ruled the fall months,. Two days later, Dad is still with us. I won't delete that ...
