Sunday, September 03, 2006. Cartagena is an amazing city on the coast. It's the epitome of an old, South American city; it looks like a movie set! The balconies, the flowers, the cobblestone. simply beautiful. Cartagena was a center for slave trade many years ago. This is one of the squares where slaves would be bought and sold. Old vs. new. always so interesting. There are eleven foreign teachers here at the mine. They're all really cool, and we have fun traveling together. My new home in Colombia.
