Saturday, August 15, 2015. Gossamer Blue Inspiration Blog Hop. I'm so sorry this post is a bit delayed. I screwed up the scheduled time and my post didn't go live at 8am. We are at a soccer picnic but I ran home to hit "publish"! Isn't this bicycle the cutest? I used enamel dots for the center of the wheels, and sprinkled gold sequins over the card. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Christmas Memories Digital Layout. During the past few weeks two of the designers I work for, Karla Dudley and Shannon McNab (of Scotty Girl Designs), have transitioned from Pixels and Company to their new home at The Digital Press. I will continue to work for both designers at their new store, and I have a layout finished using one of Karla's new kits, Gilded. The gold foil accents in this kit are so pretty! Sunday, August 2, 2015. Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes. Today I have a card for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge. I love these challenges. I get a chance to pull out any stamp set I want and create something fun. I used the Space Cadet. Stamp set and Speech Bubbles Dies. The patterned paper is from Studio Calico and the enamel dots are from Gossamer Blue. The space ship and alien were colored with Spectrum Noir markers and Copics. Sunday, May 31, 2015. Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes Challenge. This week's Paper Smooches Sparks. Challenge is Anything Goes. I love these challenges and I usually pull out all of my Paper Smooches stamps (and dies) and start playing around with different combinations. The "thanks" stamp, from Chit Chat. Is easy to color in, and I coordinated the colors with the strips of cardstock that are adhered to the card base. The sketchy stars are from the Seeing Stars. I hope you can join us this week!

The tricky part that required a lot of patience (I had a first failed attempt) is covering the image with three layers of Modge Podge and then (carefully! Getting the back wet and peeling off the paper. That gives the see-through effect so the words show behind him. Then the finishing touch of a little nest on top with feathers and a perching raven!
