Me & My Sweettea: June 2012
http://doubleam.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 15, 2012. Eight months and on the move! Henry boy is 8 months old. He started army crawling at 6 months, pulled up to stand about a month later, and has progressed to a hands and knees crawl that is fast. He and the dogs often move around the house as a pack. Of course Lady is moving toward. Him and Sawyer is moving away. And speaking of dogs, I have trained Henry to kiss me just like our old pall Pavlov and that incredibly disgusting word: salivation. And in other news, he's getting hair!

Me & My Sweettea: January 2012
http://doubleam.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 20, 2012. A tribute to a rotten night's sleep. And then, probably due to the fact that I was fantasizing about sleeping somewhere far far away from these two ridiculous sleep-blocking Mitchell boys that I should be careful what I wish for. I don't really want to be without Andrew and Henry; they're my sunshine. Suddenly it dawned on me- these aren't problems, they're. So how did last night compare to the best night of my life? I suppose no night will ever measure up to 1/20/07, but even i...

http://mikeandjenjacobs.blogspot.com/2012/05/blessings-of-motherhood.html
For my mothers day gift we took some summer family photos in bright sunny Herman Park, Houston. The most treasured gifts in my life are my precious children and the joy of being a mom and a wife. Enjoying the Ride: Summer brings change for the Jacobs
http://mikeandjenjacobs.blogspot.com/2012/08/summer-brings-change-for-jacobs.html
Summer brings change for the Jacobs. You might have wondered where I've been? Well, on a amazing adventure of change, discovery and transition. But it's good because no matter what, I'm not alone. God is so good. We've spent the summer both enjoying the sun and hiding from it. But the news is that after almost 11 months in Houston, Texas, we are coming back to Portland. September arrival date. Me & My Sweettea: December 2014
http://doubleam.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 8, 2014. To kick off his third year, Henry's Grandma and Grandpa threw him a GRAND barnyard bash complete with a petting zoo and pony to ride. Grandma even hired a gal from her church to take photos and they turned out so well! I wish I could just include all 200, but I quickly chose some good ones to tell the story of the day:. Are you ready, Henryboy? Uncle Baker grilled burgers. The fort was put up just in time for the party. Starting with the youngest: cousin Boone. Mark Isaac, Doug.

Green Thumb and Garden Visitor. I love to garden. I always have loved plants and watching them grow. This year I figured I would do a garden with the kids. We planted all our garden from seed in little greenhouses on the front patio and lovingly cared for them in the early spring. About 6 weeks ago we planted them in the ground and in pots in our backyard. Now the little plants at the top of the first pictures are getting really big and ready to produce some tomatoes this summer. We see lizards often and...

Enjoying the Ride: October 2011

There's something special about animals. Since being in Houston we have visited the Downtown Aquarium and the Zoo. Exploring the city and getting out of the house has been fun! What pleasure we see if Jack when he is around his favorite things: animals. Seriously this kid is crazy about everything relating to animals. He has his favorites, the tiger, lion, dinosaur, horse and zebra. But of course he loves Nemo too. Something about the hand rails just make kids want to swing. Jack "i'm not tall enough"?

This year, my kids are still so small, I don't know how much they understand but I know they enjoyed it. We didn't do lots of gifts, just a couple. We hung out with the cousins on Christmas Eve and watched them open their gifts. Playing with ballons was just as fun as opening 20 presents. I love that! Our Christmas was simple, yummy food, Christmas music and movies. We honestly had a unforgettable time on Christmas morning enjoying the simplest of things. Hope your Christmas was lovely all! This might lo...

Me & My Sweettea: Amos Dean the Party Machine!
http://doubleam.blogspot.com/2015/02/amos-dean-party-machine.html
Sunday, February 22, 2015. Amos Dean the Party Machine! The babiest of our babies turned one last weekend! It took me a really long time to collect these pictures, so I'll have to make the writing brief. At 12 months old, Amos loves saying "mama" and "dog" and signing "all done" so he can get out of his high chair. He likes to feed the dogs pieces of his lunch and he loves pushing cars around while trying to say "vroom! A picture for each milestone month. I am sad that we didn't end up with a picture of ...
