We ate at a great little restaurant with a mostly Italian range from pizza and calzone to deliciously tender springbok medallions. The wine was flowing and the pranks were being pulled and this night was only going to go one way. And so, afterwards it was off to the bar to shake it Swakop style! Grin and Share It. Tuesday, January 4, 2011. As we left the animals of Etosha and headed for Damaraland we knew immediately the new awestriking sights would be landscapes. The expansive salt pan flats gradually turned into towering rocky mountains laden with huge boulders. We were dwarfed by the sheer magnitude of the scenery! Grin and Share It. Monday, December 27, 2010. Etosha was the most amazing wildlife park I've been to. The facilities are great, the roads safe, the animals plenty. And the salt pan is a sight to behold! Etosha is a wonderland of wildlife and landscapes and beats any national park I've been to.
