Sunday, August 5, 2012. Last night we had quite the adventure! It started out with homemade kosheri at our apartment. Kosheri is a carbohydrate packed combination of spaghetti, macaroni noodles, rice, vermicelli, and lentils. You put carmalized onions, vinegar/lemon sauce, and a tomato sauce on top. So we ate kosheri with some friends and then we hopped onto the metro. The show was a blast! He was probably the happiest finger cymbal man I have ever seen, and he LOVED his job! He was very fun to watch.

Tuesday, July 31, 2012. At the dinner, I got to meet some more of the students that are in Griffin's classes, the teachers, and the director of the program. I even got to sit next to the director for dinner, and she was a blast. She is so nice, and she is very funny. Here is a picture of me and Griffin with her. Sunday, June 17, 2012. Jordan is the girl on the left, and she is in Griffin's class. The boy next to her is Paul, and he is another CASA student. At 7:45 the lecture started. Here is a picture of the panelists who spoke to us. However, I was starting to to think my last taxi driver was a rather appealing option for husband when compared with a diligent CASA student, so I think Griffin decided to try again. The weather was perfect and the scenery was gorgeous! We even got to see the sunset over Cairo!

Monday, July 30, 2012. I do all of the shopping, and we ran out of dishwasher soap, so I went and bought some more. It was a nice big bottle (very cheap) with dishes on it. I didn't bother reading what it said because I figured, if it has a picture of clean dishes on it, it must be dishwasher soap. Here is a picture of it. So as those of you who have put the incorrect type of soap in your dishwasher have learned, all purpose cleaner does not work the same as dishwashing soap. I dishes got really clean.

We left Minnesota and traveled through the fly through states down to Knoxville, Tennessee. Trip and destination - both quite the adventure. Claire wasn't fond of the view. On our way down, we got to stop in Chicago and were able to visit Isaiah's sister Alexandra. It was my first time in the windy city, and I loved it! Alexandra, Isaiah, and Claire.
