Week 8 - Yes, and - A dangerous journal
http://elledanger.livejournal.com/3408.html
Week 8 - Yes, and. With the publicity that the Winter Olympics generated, and the international response to Russia’s policies, it is rather hard to not know about the persecution and discrimination currently happening to people whose human rights are being abused in Russia. Yes, this is awful, and yes we need to be aware it, and do you know what else we need to be aware of? To quote Amnesty International: “ LGBTI individuals deemed to be ‘serial offenders’ (ie; frequently convicted of h...Not only does t...

Week 14 - Confession from the Chair - A dangerous journal
http://elledanger.livejournal.com/4142.html
Week 14 - Confession from the Chair. Finding something to write with wasn’t the hard part. I thought about fingers and then I remembered the bones of the chair, the connective tissues, the nails, the screws. Short scratching things meant to impale. Tell the truth, I was a little concerned something that sharp might damage the paper, but I’d sucked them dry weeks ago and sometimes you’ve got to take risks. How would I know if I’d presented the right thing? Just so long as you take this yes. Posted on Jul&...

Week 13 - Open Topic (Unlucky for some) - A dangerous journal
http://elledanger.livejournal.com/3890.html
Week 13 - Open Topic (Unlucky for some). In its most dangerous form superstition took the shape of lies I would convince myself were real. A world where I mattered, and a life where I had control. That if it were not for me the artifice in which I lived would crumble and be revealed to be nothing; meaningless. I’d conjured a world where my every step kept reality in its place. I grew out of this eventually; after I’d tempted fate enough times and realised that the world wasn’t going to end I ...But as an...

LJ Idol - Week 3: "In Another Castle". And no, I don't know why or how it was the Aussies who picked up this bit of very British-sounding slang.). I'm not as bad as some of my friends, but I definitely have days when I want to throw rocks at the nearest tour bus, especially if my route to work takes me past the Empire State...

Life, or Something Like It. Before this I Said. LJ Idol - Season 9 - Week 12 - Barrel of Monkeys. Jun 19th, 2014 at 1:49 PM. Pinwheel whirling, twirling,. We think we're winning,. Linking arms, one by one, until it all falls apart. Again we start,. Learning it all by heart,. Not reacting's an art,. We link arms, one by one, then it all falls down. And we go uptown,. Traipsing through the downtown,. Wild-goose chasing 'round town,. Arm in arm, one by one, when we all fall to ruin. 10 opinions Talk Back!

[LJI 9-7: No True Scotsman] My Inner Scotsman - Stupid doesn't live here
http://dizzydog.livejournal.com/176847.html
Stupid doesnt live here. He just visits a lot. LJI 9-7: No True Scotsman] My Inner Scotsman. April 28th, 2014. I've always dealt poorly with criticism. A little bit of pushback and I have a tendency to crumple like a paper cup. I think most of that is because, deep inside, my inner critic is already hard at work setting up the arguments so when I hear them I already know. They're right. It doesn't matter what I come up with to try to fight it, the little bastard always has a response. So no degree.".

Stupid doesnt live here. He just visits a lot. LJI 9-4: NCRYBiYBNB] No More Rides. April 7th, 2014. Buttercup trotted in place as his tail twitched back and forth in irritation. I’m telling you all, I’ve had it! No more birthday parties, no more snotty kids covered in cake. I’m done! Why should we put up with this, this demeaning servitude? Coco snuffed and looked up from his snack, and with a slow turn faced Buttercup. Well I’m not any more! Princess perked up and looked over at them with a little prance.

Lucky for the stressed out competitors, the invention of chalky antacids also arose from this city. In the times before modern manufacturing capabilities, things were much larger and cruder than they are today. Drinking straws were originally carved from granite and could weigh over 800 pounds!
