Friday, November 11, 2011. We were in NC visiting Nana and Papa and wanted to celebrate 11/11/11. Derek has always been partial to 11:11, so we had been planning to do something on this day. We decided to draw names and get each other 11 things that person likes. Nana of course loved the idea right away. We opened our gifts at 11:11 of course. Ethan got a Cheerwine. Aubrey and her Sweedish Fish. Nana and Papa opening their gifts. Ethan scored a marshmallow gun from the Christmas Show. Student of the Month.

Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Aubrey had her first Kindergarten project. The are doing gingerbread men for the beginning of school and she had to decorate the gingerbread man any way she wanted. We found a bunch of material and sparkles and had a good time. Aubrey came of up the concepts and I helped with the cutting of the material and the hot glue. Saturday, November 5, 2011. We had our annual trip to the Volusia. County Fair. Ethan was allowed to bring his friend Gage this year so he would not be the only boy. It rained some and we got a little wet, but we still had a good time. We started out with the World Famous Frisbee Dog Show, and it was actually pretty good. The fun house is always a hit and running through the spinning barrel at the end. Waiting in line for the Starship. 4000, the favorite ride of last year. They liked it again!

Thursday, June 30, 2011. The kids and I arrived in Michigan for our annual trip over the Fourth of July. Derek could not get away from work for the whole time, so he will be joining us on Monday. Friday, November 18, 2011. Student of the Month. Ethan was chosen as Student of the Month for the trait of compassion. The last three years he has always been chosen in October, which coincided with dressing up in Halloween costumes. This year October was not is lucky month, but his class did have a dress down day for selling the most in a fundraiser we had. This is what Mr. Menard wrote about Ethan:. As part of their reward for selling fundraiser items, Ethan's class got to throw pies at Mr. Menard.

Wednesday, March 6, 2013. This is Landon's adorable class. These kids have been together for almost two years now. I volunteer in the class every other Friday and have become very fond of all these kiddos. They sang Christmas songs for the parents before we decorated gingerbread houses. Mrs Moberly had everything set up when we came in the room. The kids were so excited to decorate! It was fun watching him make his masterpiece. Love this toothless little guy! Wednesday, September 19, 2012. I found a super yummy barbeque recipe on Pinterest a few weeks ago, here. I modified the recipe to suit Gracie and Bones slightly. Picky taste in food. I made this twice, and the second time I used a pork tenderloin and it (in my opinion) tasted much better than when I used the pork roast, and I also made my own rub instead of using the Montreal Steak Seasoning.
