Scene and the robin parents have too. There on the ground is a mostly-feathered baby robin - alive. Bird update: The bird fell out of the paper towel. Ken and I put it into a planter box. It was fascinating to see how the robin parents fo. Rom the whole scene. Another way to avoid housework. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sweet Ordinary Life: November 2008
http://sweetordinarylife.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2008. Is it unAmerican to *not* eat turkey on Thanksgiving Day? The pilgrims not only ate flying fowl, but partook of wild four-legged creatures too. My friends though sure look at me strangely when I tell them I had steak for Thanksgiving. For Thanksgiving we joined my mom, dad and brother at Black Angus for a lovely feast. The best parts - Fun conversation, wine, and I didn't have to cook anything nor clean one little plate - heaven! Monday, November 24, 2008. Friday day, Judy an...

Sweet Ordinary Life: Cold Turkey
http://sweetordinarylife.blogspot.com/2010/09/cold-turkey.html
Thursday, September 9, 2010. It was difficult and I had to have Katie give me words of encouragement to do it. I am quitting all my Facebook gamming accounts - cold turkey! I removed all the games and turned off all the announcements others send my FB page. Or at least time to play on the computer in more productive ways like expanding my knowledge of Photoshop). Thursday, July 31, 2008. Tahoe Vacation Day 5. Was our last day. Rick and I spent the morning cleaning up and loading the truck. The kids clung to their last few hours of the Disney channel. Once home we unloaded in the heat of the day and started up the clothes washers. Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Tahoe Vacation Day 4. We packed up at Pope Beach an...

Sweet Ordinary Life: Two Quote Tuesday
http://sweetordinarylife.blogspot.com/2010/09/two-quote-tuesday.html
Tuesday, September 14, 2010. I was shopping at a big low-cost retail store last week and kept gravitating to the frame section. I love frames (but that's a topic for another day). The one quote that Dr. Taylor had us write down that I will never, ever forget is by Ralph Waldo Emerson:. To laugh often and love much;. To win the respect of intelligent persons. And the affection of children;. To earn the approbation of honest citizens. And endure the betrayal of false friends;. To appreciate beauty;. Who ha...

Monday, August 16, 2010. I suck at blogging. What can I say? Even sucks is too gentle a term for my lack of ability to string together a few thoughts, add a picture, make up a title and sit back and wait for praise and admiration in the form of comments.
