Comprehension Dawns: Annoying news, bad news and sad news.
http://comprehensiondawns.blogspot.com/2007/01/annoying-news-bad-news-and-sad-news.html
Seldom updated and inclined to ramble. Sunday, January 7. Annoying news, bad news and sad news. I'd like to wish you lot a happy New Year, Christmas, Hannukah, Winter Solstice and anything else that happened in the last month or so that passed beneath my radar. Girl with a one-track mind. But then, she reveals one of the emails that Nicholas Hellen. The Acting News Editor of the Sunday Times (hopefully not for much longer) sent her. How low can you go. So instead of repeating myself comprehensively I'll ...

Comprehension Dawns: Still here.
http://comprehensiondawns.blogspot.com/2013/10/still-here.html
Seldom updated and inclined to ramble. Friday, October 11. I continue to exist. I'll shortly be archiving most, maybe all of the previous posts on this blog, in order that my murky melodramatic adolescent past not stalk me into middle age. Anybody still reading? Hope all is well in the world. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Manchester, United Kingdom. View my complete profile. My Other Blog. You'll need a LJ to read it. Comprehension Dawns: A Year
http://comprehensiondawns.blogspot.com/2009/06/year.html
Seldom updated and inclined to ramble. Monday, June 22. I got bored of blogging, about. well, exactly one year ago today. I was stuck in a nursing home, desperately unhappy with no prospect of getting out in the forseeable future, no nearby friends, no privacy, dignity, or independance. I always said I'd rather die than end up in a nursing home. So, what about now? I'm 23, I live in Hulme with my lovely housemate ScaryCyclist and three cats. To conclude: have some extraordinarily beautiful slugs. This is...

James Medhurst's Blog: July 2006
http://jamesmedhurst.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 29, 2006. How to make $10,000,000 in Two Weeks. At the moment, I am getting rather excited by something called the World Series of Poker. Which is currently taking place in Las Vegas. (Where else? This is the first WSOP since I started becoming interested in poker about a year ago, and I am already finding myself obsessively reading live updates. As well as the one on Cardplayer.com. There is a more entertaining but less thorough service provided by the Gutshot Club. Naturally, the updates...

James Medhurst's Blog: August 2006
http://jamesmedhurst.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 31, 2006. A Spanner in the Works. I couldn't possibly fail to comment on yesterday's announcement. That possession of violent pornography is to be made a criminal offence. It raises so many interesting issues about the relationship between freedom on the one hand, and protecting people on the other. Plus, everyone is blogging about porn these days and it is time I joined in. Posted by James Medhurst @ 10:52 pm. Monday, August 28, 2006. Fight for your Right to Self-Circumcise! The barrist...

James Medhurst's Blog: Are we in Denial?
http://jamesmedhurst.blogspot.com/2007/01/are-we-in-denial.html
Sunday, January 28, 2007. Are we in Denial? Yesterday was Holocaust Memorial Day in the UK and the occasion has been commemorated by a number of events. Across the country today. Perhaps wisely, Google decided not to mark it with an adapted version of its logo. Such a national day of remembrance has been criticised controversially by the Muslim Council of Britain. And also by the Goldfish. Based entirely on this premise was screened a couple of years ago. Prior to 1940, the context includes not only ...

James Medhurst's Blog: Tripping to Mars
http://jamesmedhurst.blogspot.com/2006/10/tripping-to-mars.html
Thursday, October 26, 2006. The power of this feeling was spectacularly demonstrated on Tuesday when I went for lunch. I had a choice between a Mars bar and a Kitkat to accompany my sandwich and I chose the Mars because Kitkats are made by Nestle. This is worth mentioning because I have long since given up trying to change the world through my consumer behaviour. My mood allowed me to believe that I can really make a difference. Posted by James Medhurst @ 11:18 pm. Good on you for volunteering! Many peop...

http://comprehensiondawns.blogspot.com/2013/12/im-coming-up-to-some-big-huge-massive.html
Seldom updated and inclined to ramble. Sunday, December 8. I'm coming up to some big, huge, massive changes in my life, in the new year. It's exciting and terrifying and wonderful and without publicly going into further detail, I would very much appreciate any good thoughts/prayers/wishes that anybody can spare. James Medhurst's Blog: On the Feast of Stephen (+10)
http://jamesmedhurst.blogspot.com/2007/01/on-feast-of-stephen-10.html
Friday, January 05, 2007. On the Feast of Stephen ( 10). I hope you all had a great New Year. This blog has been fairly inactive again and so it is time to post my Prague photos before the Christmas feeling entirely disappears. I was there in mid-December and though it did not snow, sadly, there is nothing like Good King Wenceslas to create the festive spirit. Here he is in the square named after him. Hmm This picture is not the most striking but I like it because of the Czech flag in the foreground.

James Medhurst's Blog: April 2006
http://jamesmedhurst.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 29, 2006. The first in a monthly series. Notwithstanding this xenophobic hysteria. Michael Howard has criticised. Although it is useful in preventing conflicts of interest, and reminding the government, in case they had forgotten, that they should not tell lies to the House of Commons, it has a major omission. It does not say that anyone has to resign simply for making an enormous cock-up. Posted by James Medhurst @ 11:09 pm. Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Posted by James Medhurst @ 11:17 pm.
