Saturday, February 24, 2007. All good things must come to an end. Suddenly we have reached the end of our Intrepid tour! The last week went really fast and then it was all over. Its been great fun. Since the last entry, we have been to Nha Tran and are now in Ho Chi Minh City, a.k.a. Saigon. Century), and learnt how to do some weaving. Ok, for those of you playing at home - we are still heading off in February and still doing a bit of traveling around, but then instead of making it to the UK in mid March, we will be hanging around Cambodia for 6 months doing some volunteer work. Thursday, November 16, 2006. With thanks to Am, who got it from Tom:. Chop 2-3 apples into chucks, mix with 2 tbs brown sugar (and optionally rum) in a baking bowl. Mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar and 75g butter (and optionally oats) with hands. More butter if it's not moist enough. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 150C for 30min, or until golden brown. Tuesday, July 24, 2007. Today's newspaper reports that 190 Harry Potter books were ordered for the whole of Cambodia. They have now sold out (bar 1 in Siem Reap). Fortunately, the manager of Monument Books is scrambling to find more copies and has contacted his distributor in Thailand for 30 more.
