Adventures on the Fly: Thunderstorms, Camp Fires and Dry Flies
http://adventuresonthefly.blogspot.com/2015/06/thunderstorms-camp-fires-and-dry-flies.html
Adventures on the Fly. Fly fishing and everything else related. Sunday, June 21, 2015. Thunderstorms, Camp Fires and Dry Flies. Cold clear water was once again called me back. With the mercury rising in the canyons, I decided to let the truck do the work to get me into the high country. The weather was seemingly perfect and the feisty little golden trout and brown trout were plentiful. Both species attacked dry flies with reckless, violent grabs. Just enough to put the bend in the 4wt. Cold beer in hand.

Adventures on the Fly: For the Love of Bass Part Deux
http://adventuresonthefly.blogspot.com/2014/10/for-love-of-bass-part-deux.html
Adventures on the Fly. Fly fishing and everything else related. Saturday, October 4, 2014. For the Love of Bass Part Deux. Only mere hours separated our red eye small mouth run and our midnight dash southbound. I planned on sleeping on my Kelty air bed in the camper of my truck bed, after an hour or so high beams and loud chatter drew my out of my slumber. With only an hour of sleep, jello legs and road buzz, we were asking for another long hot grueling day. Adventures on the Fly. Adventures on the Fly.

Adventures on the Fly: The Last Pale Light in the West
http://adventuresonthefly.blogspot.com/2014/10/the-last-pale-light-in-west.html
Adventures on the Fly. Fly fishing and everything else related. Sunday, October 5, 2014. The Last Pale Light in the West. I took five days to trophy hunt in northern California. The Truckee river left me with a bittersweet taste after losing what would have been my personal best brown trout. Kypezilla has been on my mind ever since. Those 20 inches of copper colored scales, butter yellow fins and belly, kyped out jaw… yeah that big buck has haunted me ever since. Adventures on the Fly.

Adventures on the Fly: A Graveyard Without Bones
http://adventuresonthefly.blogspot.com/2014/02/a-graveyard-without-bones.html
Adventures on the Fly. Fly fishing and everything else related. Saturday, February 1, 2014. A Graveyard Without Bones. The sea has provided me with a bounty of mysterious encounters that have left me in contemplative wonder. I suppose that is why I return to chase what seem like mere specters of the deep. I'll see if I can pick a bone out of this graveyard closer to spring. Sand bass. A new addition to my species list. A real wall hanger. The spotties were slightly larger than Tidelands.

Adventures on the Fly: January 2014
http://adventuresonthefly.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Adventures on the Fly. Fly fishing and everything else related. Sunday, January 19, 2014. Tuck and I decided to explore the southern waters of the San Diego Bay in search of the Cortez bonefish. We arrived around high-tide and the tide movement was weak. The depth of the bay ranged from 6' - 40' with steep drop offs along the shelf of the bay. This particular body of water seemed lifeless since the eel-grass itself looked black and desiccated from lack of oxygen. Adventures on the Fly.

http://adventuresonthefly.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Adventures on the Fly. Fly fishing and everything else related. Monday, May 27, 2013. Setup the garage. I think it will make a nice place to tie flies and drink some brews during a sierra storm. I am returning for you soon. Adventures on the Fly. Monday, May 20, 2013. The fishing was slow all morning and I called it quits around 1pm. Water temps in the upper water column was 75degrees according to the finder. It may be awhile before I return to this lake. Adventures on the Fly. Saturday, May 18, 2013.
