Our Sheep and other Fiber Animals. Meet ELSA, a silver Romney ewe. This is Elsa, my fav! She's a silver grey Romney, whose fleece spins. Like a dream. This year she gave us triplets with no help needed! Below is Merlot, a gelded Cotswold/Coopworth ram. His fleece last year weighed 15lbs! He's as good-natured as he is handsome. Here is COLBY, our russet huacaya alpaca. His beautiful color needs no dyeing! This is Colby's solution to 80 degree days. It's tough to wear a wool coat in the summer!

Our Sheep and other Fiber Animals. We enjoy sharing our farm experience with others and participate in Open Farm Day and Maine Maple Sunday. We also host local day cares and school group field trips to educate children about the importance of fiber animals and healthy, organically-raised foods. Call for details and to arrange such a trip for your group. Individual families are welcome- call first!

Various hand-knitted hats, scarves and mittens can be viewed and special orders are taken for hand-knits. We also sell our washed alpaca and various sheep's fleeces by the. We also sell pints and quarts of MAPLE SYRUP, made here in Jim's sugar shack.

Thursday, March 23, 2017. Dork with a capital D. Such a gloomy windy day here today. We are awaiting the rain that is on it's way for the next 3 days. Ever have days where you get up and then things happen and you wish you would have stayed in bed? Well, my day seems to be going in that direction. Dork with a capital D. I've been doing lots of drawing for the shop and shows we have coming up but yesterday I ran out of linen so decided to dye wool today. Dork with a capital D. Here is the D for Dork part.

Our Sheep and other Fiber Animals. Welcome to Ewe and I Farm! Ewe and I Farm is located at 286 Arundel Rd., Kennebunkport, Maine. In the three decades of living here we have carved a sustainable farm from. 26 acres of mostly wooded terrain. Pasture renovation is an on-going chore. Our gardens produce much of our food throughout the season, with the hoop house growing well into December and then starting up again in early February.

We raise Registered Romneys and Registered Horned Dorsets, as well as polled Dorsets and cross breeds. Lambs are born here on the farm in February. If you are looking for registered lambs, you will need to contact us by March 1st. Unsold lambs will go to the Easter market. I dye,spin,and process our fiber into batts for handspinners and felters.
