Feet Stained Red: June 2012
http://sauniers.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Red dirt is everywhere in Sierra Leone. It covers your house, your clothes, and especially the bottom of your feet. My feet have walked the dusty red streets of Sierra Leone and I will never be the same again. Monday, June 04, 2012. I wrote this in my journal the other day. It was a profound moment and I wanted to share. It's funny, you think that when you are a "missionary" that it must automatically mean that you rely on God. Ha! Posted by Sarah Saunier. My feet have walked the dusty red streets of Sierra Leone and I will never be the same again. Saturday, March 31, 2012. Small pleasures in life. I love sharpies. They are the best thing to write with, only problem is that they bleed through paper. So when sharpie pens came out I was thrilled. Write like a sharpie but don't bleed through the paper. Crickets in Trees: Isabel Therese Eight Months
http://therienstras.blogspot.com/2014/09/isabel-therese-eight-months.html
Friday, September 26, 2014. Isabel Therese Eight Months. Isabel Therese - you turned 8 months while you were home in WA state visiting family! It was a lovely time in WA, with hot, sunny days and lots of time with loved ones. You were quite sick when we traveled home - you'd been up to 104 degrees, couldn't keep any food down, and were the most miserable we'd ever seen you. Poor baby. Poor us - not much sleep and a difficult day traveling home! But you did all sorts of fun things this month! Spent lots o...

Here are some fun pictures from our summer days. Lots of hanging out on our porch:. Made me this amazing meal! This girl's favorite outdoor activity right now is riding her tricycle - we go up and down the sidewalk on our street, and she rings her little bell. Crazy to see her looking so grown up as she rides her trike! Lots of ...

Saturday, September 1, 2012. You can park your car at the ferry, and just walk on and then Friday Harbor is right there when you get off the ferry. So fun! Here is a map of the islands. Some of the smaller islands you can only get to with a private boat, and I used to love going hiking on Sucia Island whenever I had the chance on a friend or family member's boat. The Ferry ride out to San Juan Island is really fun - and it was Madeline's first ride! Family photo on the dock. So, we made the trip to the S...
