Well, today's run was 7 miles. And it was SO TOUGH! When I got home, I had several thoughts. Man, I can hardly walk! And, this was only about HALF of a half marathon! Wow, that pool looks refreshing. First of all, I didn't get to start until 9 am as I dropped my daughter off for her first day of school! She's 10, but we've homeschooled until now. BIG DAY for both of us! Sunday, March 27, 2011. First Sprint Triathlon is Coming Soon! I have been trying to keep up with 2 blogs (actually 3), and it isn't working very well. But, I wanted to update this blog. I was supposed to be running a half marathon 2 weeks from today, but that fell through about a week ago. Instead, I will now be participating in my first sprint triathlon on that date! Yes, in just 2 weeks, I will be a TRIATHLETE! And, just a few days ago, I signed up for this triathlon! I am so excited!

Thursday, August 11, 2011. 3x800 and Strength Training.ouch! This morning, I did my 3x800 run.outside in the heat, though at 6:30 in the morning. I started out by running 1 mile at about 12:50. Then, I walked for about 2 mins. I did take walk breaks (actual WALK breaks) between each run. Then, I started my three 800s. My coach wanted me to stay at about 5:10-5:20 for each 800. That's about 10:20-10:40 per mile pace. Well, my times were 5:09, 5:07, and 5:06! She worked me out HARD! A few things we did.

Monday, August 8, 2011. So, today's workout was 45 minutes of endurance spinning. I used to do spinning classes about 8 years ago and I did a spin class last week. But, ALL of my spinning has been interval work! It has LOTS of variety and jumps and you get to change it up every song. Well, NOT SO with an endurance ride! You just pedal fairly hard and steady!
