The Existential Beatnik: February 2009
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 16, 2009. The problem with time travel. It's never as easy as it seems. Alright.test, test, 3, 2, 1, go. I've only got a few minutes before the next, um, event, so I'm going to have to make this quick. You're listening to this, I'm assuming, because you're interested in my work. That's good. In fact, there is soon to be an opening in my field, one which I currently occupy. More on that later. And one last thin-. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Existential Beatnik: R.O.V.M - Barbecue Seitan with Potatoes and Experimental Salad
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2011/03/rovm-barbecue-seitan-with-potatoes-and.html
Wednesday, March 23, 2011. ROVM - Barbecue Seitan with Potatoes and Experimental Salad. In which I get a new knife and really need to show it off. In today's installment of Regular Ordinary Vegan Mealtime, I'll be taking you though the events of my day, through the course of a meal (with dessert, of course), and round and round the inside of my thought processes. For dinner tonight, we'll be serving delicious (though slightly chewy) barbecue seitan. Easy peasy. But then, this happened. From vegweb). ...
The Existential Beatnik: December 2008
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Check out the sidebar, I've added a new twitter widget (sounds dirty). Links to this post. A nice atheistic post. To lighten your god-fearing day. I was in the park today- I'll soon write a post on my sister blog. So I sat there, considering the grass, and the trees, and how the sunlig.whoa.did it again. I considered. those things. Arguments from design. Though I must say, my favorite example of this: that the grass was put on Earth by god so that we could have something s...
The Existential Beatnik: October 2008
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 25, 2008. I was out to witness a crime. Past the gray brick walls. Past the sleeping homeless. I was sipping a latte. Through the "bad" part of town. In the ill-lit walks. In the store-front sector. In the very middle. I was walking down an alley. To where my bike waited,. Chained to a pipe. Screwed to a meter. Stuck in the ground. And I left for home. Links to this post. Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Longest. Sentence. Ever. How Marcel Proust instantly became my idol. Links to this post.
The Existential Beatnik: Ordinary Vegan Meal Time: Drunken Riz avec Pain Brulée
http://existentialbeatnik2.blogspot.com/2011/03/ordinary-vegan-meal-time-drunken-riz.html
Friday, March 4, 2011. Ordinary Vegan Meal Time: Drunken Riz avec Pain Brulée. At least, that's what the online translator called it. In order to properly prepare this dish you're going to need a few things:. Beer - at least a six-pack, doesn't need to be fancy, a decent domestic will do. Wine - in case you run out of beer. Rice - 1 cup. TVP - Textured Vegetable Protein, it usually comes in dried flakes, 1/2 cup. Spices - whatever you happen to have on hand. Bread - one slice. Onion - about 1/2 cup.

The Vèlo-Vegan: January 2009
http://theexistentialbeatnik.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Vegan Recipe of the Day: A hastily thrown together curry recipe! Because the roads are icy and I've been riding the bus! Yeah, I know, I've let you all down. I'm not the ultra badass biker I make myself out to be. The thing is, though, that I don't want to die- which would surely happen if Lucy and I ventured out onto ice-slick streets. So I've decided to do some cooking! And to present to you, my first, fully original, vegan recipe of the day! Hastily Thrown Together Curry.

The Vèlo-Vegan: Bike-on-bike action!
http://theexistentialbeatnik.blogspot.com/2009/01/bike-on-bike-action.html
Thursday, January 22, 2009. And by "action," I don't mean bike-pr0n (yeah, I know what you sick people come here for). I meant, dear readers, that my bike, Lucy, and I were involved in a collision today. And yes, don't worry. Be assured that both bikes were unscathed (or at the very least, very lightly scathed). And so, the tale begins. It was early morning, with the chill of the dawn laying heavily upon the air.when suddenly, disaster struck. (dum dum dummmm. Have you gotten it going? Kick in, since I w...

The Vèlo-Vegan: Vegan Recipe of the Day - Black Bean Soup
http://theexistentialbeatnik.blogspot.com/2008/12/vegan-recipe-of-day-black-bean-soup.html
Sunday, December 14, 2008. Vegan Recipe of the Day - Black Bean Soup. That's right, a proper recipe. I felt myself become ambitious today. Finally done with classes, taking a break from work, and finally getting over my crack addiction, I was ready to cook. Today's recipe can also be found at this address. I'm usually not one for complicated meals, and this one is no exception; in fact, the rest of the recipes found on the aforementioned vegan site all look fairly easy. 1 onion, chopped. Use the optional...
Goodbye academia, I get a life. – blog.devicerandom
http://blog.devicerandom.org/2011/02/18/getting-a-life
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known. Goodbye academia, I get a life. Published February 18, 2011. One of my first memories is myself, 5 years old, going to my mother and declare to her, as serious as only children can be: “I will be a scientist.”. Yesterday night I was in my office in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge packing my stuff, resolved to not go back to research again -at least not in the shortcoming future. What has gone wrong? Don’t get me wron...

The Vèlo-Vegan: The AHT show
http://theexistentialbeatnik.blogspot.com/2009/02/aht-show.html
Saturday, February 14, 2009. Or how I singlehandedly revived the art of the drum circle. Oh well, let's risk it, here's what I've been doing:. Saved nine kittens from four separate burning buildings. Disarmed a nuclear warhead using only a teabag and some wax-paper. Formulated the grand unified theory. Misplaced my pen, subsequently forgetting the aforementioned theory. Attempted the Ramen Challenge. Only to fail miserably. Went to a local AHT show, put on by the local AHTist coalition. Anyway, AHT show.

The Vèlo-Vegan: Efficiency
http://theexistentialbeatnik.blogspot.com/2009/02/efficiency.html
Sunday, February 15, 2009. So I came across an interesting graphic today; and because I love to shove statistics in your eager little faces, I'll share it with you. Here it is. [Click here. For the actual link, with full-sized image.]. Now, what I get out of the graph is this:. The bicycle, basically, is the most efficient form of transportation. EVAR. And though it might not be the fastest, apparently it would only cost me about 16 whoppers to travel 350 miles. What have I done? I guess the moral of thi...

The Vèlo-Vegan: A few things
http://theexistentialbeatnik.blogspot.com/2009/02/few-things.html
Monday, February 23, 2009. That don't deserve individual posts. I made my vegan curry again tonight. The good news: I think I'm very close to getting it to the point of non-nasty (the point at which I'm no longer ashamed to be eating it). I'm not sure what I did differently, maybe adjusted the curry powder to cayenne ratio, more soymilk, and um.oh yeah, duh, the PCP. I laced it with PCP, that's it. What a nice day that was. Saturday, May 5, 2007. The title sounded flashy, so I went with it. Trying to bring in the younger demographic.). So anyway, I've been gone from the lovely world of the internet for a while, due to lots of paperwork for my various colleges and moving back home and whatnot.but I'm back and ready to do some posting. Tomorrow. Maybe. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). More Tasty Vegan Blogs. Only then could I begin to explain. Follow me on Twitter. The point here is. View my complete profile.

The Vèlo-Vegan: September 2008
http://theexistentialbeatnik.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 27, 2008. Finally. I was finally able to do one of these. And let me tell you, the wait was worth it. Around 4:45pm on friday afternoon, there was a slowly growing number of cyclists gathering at what I will refer to as the "hipster trees", just west of the OSU student union. The gaunt, bearded figures mostly spent their time milling about, riding each other's bikes/longboards, and gawking at the few brave hippies deeply engaged in slacklining. Another interesting turn (bike pun?

Existential Bacon | The Bacon of Life
The Bacon of Life. I’m literally writing whatever comes to my mind first. Reader discretion is not advised. Why are people on Vine so annoying? I don’t understand what my problem is with them. Someone thinks they’re obviously funny, and they look like they’re having fun. So what is it? Why do I find them so annoying? Is it because they think they’re so cool? Because I want to help people adopt kids. I think that’s super cool. Everybody’s all like, ‘Whaa? I mean, that would be great, but I don’t fin...

Existential Blues
So many questions. What answers should I choose? Sunday, April 27, 2008. More of our words being used against us. Part of the problem I have with blogging more frequently than a blue moon eclipsing the sun is that I keep holding out for those undeniable gems that really, truly must be shared with everyone I know. The sad thing is that having two boys ages four and five provides ample material for the average blog, and it's only my blog-snobbery that prevents me from spewing forth our daily comedy. Which ...

Existential Boredom
Blurring the line between boredom and nihilism I guess. Random musings of a young man concerning culture, society, art, photography, and whatever else I damn please. None of this is particularly important; unless, you think it is. Yeah So I Watch Westworld I Guess. December 06, 2016. It’s not entirely clear to me why I began watching. Was supposed to be a deep and engrossing mystery peppered with. I have not seen Michael Crichton’s original. My memory of the first several episodes:. Ford doesn’t come acr...

A Table-Top Gaming and Hobby Blog. Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Don't Loaf Around Too Long! Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it. Today I thought I would talk a bit about making time for gaming it up. Sometimes it gets pretty difficult to find the time for hobbies you enjoy. It really comes down to how much time you are willing to give it. That's why I believe in setting aside time for gaming related activities. Again, thanks for popping by and reading!
